Anjem Choudary to burn flag outside US Embassy on 9/11

(Reuters) - British Muslim activists plan to burn the U.S. flag outside the American embassy on Sept. 11 to voice anger at plan by a U.S. Christian pastor to burn copies of the Koran the same day, a hardline Islamist said on Thursday.

Anjem Choudary said in remarks to Reuters he expected like-minded groups to stage flag burnings in the United States, Belgium, Ireland, Lebanon and Indonesia to highlight what he called the U.S. occupation of Muslim lands.

"We have called for the people to burn the American flag so that instead of being humiliated or being intimidated they can make this day a day to remember the atrocities being committed in Muslim lands and to expose the aggressor," Choudary said.

(Reuters) - A Christian pastor said on Thursday he was canceling a plan to burn the Koran, which had drawn international condemnation and a warning from President Barack Obama that it could provoke al Qaeda suicide bombings.

Terry Jones, who heads the tiny Dove World Outreach Center church in the Florida university town of Gainesville, told journalists outside his church in this Florida town that he was calling off his plan.

He said at the same time that an agreement had been reached with Muslim leaders to move the location of an Islamic cultural center and mosque planned close to the site of the September 11 attacks in New York.

But sources close to New York Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf said there was no agreement to move the site of the proposed Muslim cultural center.

The planned location has been opposed by many who have said it is insensitive to families of the 2001 victims of the attacks by militant Islamist group al Qaeda.

Jones said he had been promised by Muslim leaders in New York that the location would be changed.

Burn the quran day: September 11th

I’d like to know how muslims think it’s fine to burn our flag, our bible and kill our people and yet as soon as someone says or does anything against islam they go on one.

A female teacher who called a teddy bear mohammed caused outrage; a cartoon of mohammed caused outrage.

Which brings me to ‘Burn the quran day’ on September 11th.

Reverend Terry Jones is to burn copies of the quran at the Dove World Outreach Centre in Gainesville, Florida, on Saturday, the 9^th anniversary of the destruction of the Twin Towers.

Of course Pastor Jones has received over 100 death threats and the american version of the UAF will be causing trouble on the day. Hilary Clinton and General Petraeus are up in arms condemning Pastor Jones actions and accusing him of putting soldiers and workers lives at risk.

Hello, wake up, they are ALREADY AT RISK.

'if they burn our holy quran it means war between muslims and non-muslims. Afghanistan will not be the only country to react, but all Islamic countries all over the world will stand and fight against non-islamic countries'

We are ALREADY at war with muslims. Each day, in many countries, muslims are killing non-muslims. Muslims are taking over Britain as we speak. You only have to check the news from other countries to see just how ‘peaceful’ islam is.

And while muslims hold up posters saying ‘Only coward burn quran’, I say only cowards perform the actions of muslims towards non-muslims.

You don't have to be a Christian extremist to despise the teachings of a sick mind.

I’m sick to my back teeth of muslims claiming to be the victim and I’m sick of our governments bending over and taking it up the ass from them.

It’s about time this ‘religion’ and its followers were sent back into the 7^th century where they belong.
