Brent council bans Easter Parade but welcomes Diwali & Eid

Every year the Christians from different churches get together to march a 400-yard route to celebrate Easter.

But this year their Good Friday parade has been banned – because it breaches health and safety laws.

Church leaders say town hall bureaucrats are refusing Christians rights routinely afforded to minority groups, and have vowed to defy them.

Previously organisers of the parade in Willesden, north London, had only needed to inform police of their route. But new red tape means they now need permission from Brent Council.

Officials said they banned the procession because they were contacted too late to carry out a ‘consultation’ to close the roads.

Father Hugh MacKenzie, of St Mary Magdalen Roman Catholic Church, said: ‘The rights of Christians are being overlooked in favour of the rights of Islamic groups and gay rights organisations.

‘One does wonder whether if it was a homosexual rights or Islamic group the council would have been more flexible, as it doesn’t seem like rocket science to permit us to walk 400 metres.

‘The rights of Christians are just not respected in Britain.’

Church leaders have vowed to walk in the road anyway carrying a cross, a painting of Jesus washing followers’ feet and other religious symbols.

Brent Council hosts a Diwali street celebration every year. Last November it boasted it had held the biggest Diwali event in the country, after more than 60,000 people turned out.

And in July last year the council appealed to the Muslim community to notify it of any Eid events so it could promote them free of charge.

But it did not do the same for other religious festivals.

Last night former Home Office minister – and devout Christian – Ann Widdecombe said: ‘Don’t Brent Council know about Easter? These processions will be taking place all over the country on Good Friday, it’s part of our tradition.

‘It’s ridiculous and petty that a group cannot walk 400 yards. Why should they need special permission to do that?’

Every Easter for 13 years, about 200 worshippers from four churches – the New Testament Church of God, St Andrew’s Church of England, St Mary Magdalen and Willesden Green Baptist Church – have marched before celebrating communion together.

Father MacKenzie said: ‘It is a long-standing tradition in the area. It is a chance for us to get together.

‘The idea of tolerating the major religions, particularly the Christian religion which has been at the heart of our civilisation, and our right to express ourselves in this moderate way is a very basic aspect of religious freedom.’

Last night Brent Council told the worshippers to walk on the pavement.

A spokesman added: ‘Brent Council was not contacted about the march until around a week ago.

‘There is a strict legal procedure we have to follow to issue a traffic order closing roads so people can march in the highway, which includes advertising and consultation, and this takes about five weeks.

‘We are very sorry to say there is now not enough time for us to legally facilitate this march.’

Innocent soldier branded a paedophile

I would expect all paedophiles to be treated in the same manner regardless of colour, religion or cult, but today’s story in one of the larger rags had me seething.

Michael Bennett, an ex-soldier of nine years who served in the Bosnian conflict - which I prefer to call Serbia; don’t even get me started on that one! - who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, was wrongly accused of being a paedophile and ordered to leave the home he had shared with his partner of six years and her three children after police received a malicious phone call from someone who had mixed him up with another local man.

According to reports, the police acted on the information and, without even checking the facts, reported him to social services. It was only after Mr Bennett lodged a complaint that the police checked into Mr Bennett’s background and found he had no criminal record and was not a danger to children.

Not only has this man had to suffer the horrors of the Islamic take-over in Serbia, he has also had to suffer abuse in the streets, found his pet cat dead and had bricks thrown at his door.

The response to Mr Bennett’s complaint is laughable. A spokesman for Warwickshire Police said “An internal enquiry took place and was investigated and upheld. As a result, training and advice have been provided to staff”.

Is that it? After suffering months of abuse is that all they have to say, that lessons have been learned?

Reports of abuse on white scoolgirls by asians supressed due to political correctness

According to news reports, more than 60 white schoolgirls in Blackpool were groomed for sex and abused by the asian staff at the fast food joint where Charlene Downs was murdered.

It is time for a new series of laws that restore the death penalty for convicted paedophiles and that also allows the courts to deport all naturalised citizens involved in paedophilia.

Charlenes Law would be twofold ;

1) It would allow the courts to impose the death penalty for those paedohiles convicted of repeat or multiple paedophile offences.

2) It would allow the courts to issue an immediate deportation notice to any naturalised citizen that commits any crime of paedophilia.

We need to start a civil rights campaign to make the name of Charlene Downes as well know to the public as Stephen Lawrence.

This campaign should involve all nationalist parties to collect the signatures to hand into Parliament.

We should all start going into the high streets of every town and city and start to wake up people to the threat of muslim rape gangs in Britain.

The police do nothing except hide the truth for fear of breaching the dictates of political correctness, and the case of Charlene was handled so incompetently by the police and the CPS that the scum who murdered her were acquited AND THEN GIVEN £250,000 BY THE COURTS AS COMPENSATION FOR BEING KEPT ON REMAND.

This is the state of our society today.

The victims are betrayed and the killers rewarded.

Now we must start the fightback.

EDL Demo - Blackburn 2nd April 2011

The English Defense League are demonstarting in Blackburn today.

Here are the details:

All coaches and minibuses are to exit junction 4 of the M65 and rendezvous at the lorry park area on the service area at junction 4 from 9:30am to no later than 12:00pm. You will be taken immediately to the public houses, Lancashire constabulary have informed me their will not be any waiting around.

From the public houses your coaches will be parked up in the area the march will end for you to conveniently access them at the end of the demonstration.

All arriving by train are to arrive at Blackburn train station from 9:30am and no later than 12:00pm. At Blackburn train station you will be shuttled by coaches provided by the police to the public houses. Here again their will be no waiting around. At the end of the demo you will be shuttled back to the train station, and the police have organised extra trains at no cost so members of the English Defence League can travel home hassle free with no long waits.

Those arriving by car, you are to park at the Vue Cinema car park, BB1 1DG its located at the back of the train station, from here you will be shuttled to the demo and back on the same transport of those arriving by train.

Anybody arriving by foot is to make their way to the public houses for no earlier than 10:00am and no later than 12:10pm.

At 12:45pm our static demonstration will start where you will be greeted by Tony Curtis who will be introducing speakers and music, this will end at 14:00pm where we will march back to our coaches after having a great day in Blackburn, we should be on our specific transport ready to leave by 14:30pm.

So clean you flags, iron your tops, and get ready for what could be our biggest demonstration yet!!

Bedfordshire Police has received anonymous information that a threat has been made against [Kevin and Tommy]. The nature of this threat is that he and his associates face being assaulted when they attend a planned English Defence League protest at Blackburn Lancashire on the 2nd of April 2011.

Due to your lifestyle and political beliefs Bedfordshire Police has identified you as being at very high risk of coming to serious harm and our concerns are such for your safety that we have suggested the following actions to reduce the risk of further violence:

1. That you do not attend the planned EDL protest in Blackburn on the 2nd of April 2011.
2. If you choose to attend the protest, that you do not inform anyone of your intention to travel or the method of travel that you intend to use.
3. If you choose to attend this protest, that you inform Bedfordshire Police of your plans and allow them to inform their colleagues in Blackburn.
4. That you call the Police immediately if you feel under threat from anyone, using the 999 system.
