Muslim Community Leader Arrested For Perverting The Course Of Justice

Noor Ramnajally

On August 24th 2009, muslim community leader, Noor Ramjanally, contacted police alleging to have been kidnapped at knifepoint from his home by two BNP members. He said he’d been bundled into the boot of a 4 x 4 (since when has a 4 x 4 had a boot), driven to Epping Forest in Essex and ordered to stop his religious work.

The BNP had been accused of racial tension in Ramjanally’s area of Loughton in Essex, after issuing a leaflet about Ramjanally’s community group and this alleged ‘kidnap’ made national news.

Ramnajally stated:

"I have got the whole UK Muslim community behind me now. I am not just on my own."

However, Ramnajally has now been arrested for perverting the course of justice. In other words, he made it up.

Did Ramnajally also invent the stories of him receiving hate mail and his family home being firebombed in July?

I’ll leave you to decide.
