ReferendumNOW in Derby

The government promised the people of Great Britain a referendum on our inclusion in the European Union, but so far this hasn't happened. With Cameron signing away more and more of our money and with European law taking precedance over our own law it is time to make a stand.

Derby and Amber Valley British National Party activists were out and about in Derby city centre today collecting signatures for the ReferendumNOW campaign.

At one point half a dozen UAF students, complete with ridiculous haircuts, some dyed the usual communist red, turned up to cause disruption. It didn't last long. With microphone in hand, the Amber Valley organiser, Debra Purdy, out cried them all.

The people of Derby turned on the UAF telling them to 'go get a wash', 'go get a job' and 'no wonder you can't get a job looking like that' and after only 15 minutes the great unwashed slunk back to their rooms for a consolatory joint or five.

388 members of the public signed the petition in the 3 hours the activists were there.

Well done BNP. The people have had enough and are starting to realise what is really going on in our country instead of listening to multiculturists and Labour's indoctrinated children.

If you would like to sign the petition from the comfort of your armchair you can do so HERE

Normanton, Derby - muslims paint burkha on bikini advert

I get back from a lovely 10 day holiday and what do I find? More reports of enrichers stamping their mark on our soil...

A poster advertising a high street clothes store's bikini has had a burkha painted over the top of it. The model acquired the full-length veil in a poster displayed on the side of a bus stop in Normanton, Derbyshire.

The advert, featuring a £3.99 bikini on sale at H&M, was vandalised with black graffiti, leaving only the eyes of the female model uncovered.

The poster has been causing controversy across the country, with black spray paint being daubed over the scantily-clad model in Muslim areas of Birmingham and London.

Similar adverts in Balsall Heath, Birmingham, and Tower Hamlets, London, have been blacked out - reportedly by outraged Muslims or feminists.

However, this is the first time a full length Burka has been carefully painted over the model.

This is not the first time H&M advertisements have been modified. The store's new campaign, starring the supermodel Giselle, has been digitally altered to cater for ads running in Dubai. Despite revealing only arms and a hint of cleavage, the images were all subjected to Photoshopping with a t-shirt or vest added under the clothes.

One enhanced shot shows a white vest under a jumpsuit, leaving the arms bare and another adds short sleeves to a hatlerneck top.

Gulfraz Nawaz, from the Jamia Mosque, close to the defaced advert in Derby, said: 'Some people of the Muslim community could find an advert like that offensive and react to it, which clearly someone has. Firms behind advertising campaigns like that should be a little more sensitive about the location of posters.' (THIS IS ENGLAND NOT PAKISTAN!)

Azher Rehan, 36, who works close to where the poster is displayed, said: 'I wouldn't have noticed it if it hadn't been pointed out. I think whoever did it has a good sense of humour.'

A spokeswoman for Derbyshire police said officers were aware of the incident of 'criminal damage'. (BUT OF COURSE THEY WON'T DO ANYTHING, THEY NEVER DO)

A spokeswoman for H&M said it was 'regrettable' that people had chosen to vandalise the bus shelter. This is not something that H&M commonly encounters. With our campaigns we want to surprise and inspire our customers, not upset them.'

Well they’d better get used to it because it is going to become more common than the liberal prats could ever imagine. Incidently it was only two weeks ago that I reported on the Labour candidates in Normanton who intimidated people at the polling station.

Election 2011 - Derby

I am still waiting for Derby's election results but will print them here as soon as I get them. My personal opinion is the British National Party won't do well.

'Learn English, get a job and stop smoking cannabis': What judge said to immigrant drug dealer on benefits

A judge gave an immigrant drug dealer a verbal dressing-down by telling him to 'get a job, learn English and stop smoking cannabis'.

Pakistani-born Mohammed Ramzan, 32, had been spending £20 a day on cannabis, paid for by his benefits from the taxpayer.

After admitting three drug possession counts following raids police raids on his home in Derby, he faced a verbal tirade from a Crown Court judge.

As he was handed a suspended jail term at Derby Crown Court, Judge Andrew Hamilton told Ramzan, who had spoken in court through an interpreter: 'It's about time you learnt to speak English.

'It seems to me very difficult to live in this country if you can't speak the language.

'And you should be going out, getting work, instead of sitting at home smoking cannabis.

'My advice to you is to give up drugs, go and learn English, go and get a job and do something useful.'

The court heard how police raided Ramzan's home in Derby, and found cannabis in plastic bags ready to sell.

Twice over the next three months, they raided different houses where the 32-year-old was living and again found evidence of cannabis.

Ramzan admitted three counts of possession with intent to supply.

The court heard how officers who searched Ramzan's home in December 2009 found a holdall with his name on it and an address in Pakistan.

Inside it were different types of cannabis, including vegetation and 26g of resin.

Scales to weigh amounts of the drug were also discovered, along with four mobile phones.

They contained texts saying 'ring me', messages about debts - and one which read: 'Have you got any weed?'

More raids were carried out in January and March 2010 at other properties where he was staying. Cannabis was found at these.

Ramzan initially denied knowledge of some of the cannabis but admitted some of it was for personal use.

Ramzan told the court, through an interpreter, that he had tried successfully to cut down on the amount of drugs he was taking and he was 'motivated to change'.

During the court hearing, Judge Hamilton said: 'I'm told you have reduced your drug intake from £20 a day to £10 a day.

'Where do you get £70 a week? Where does that come from?'

Ramzan, speaking through his interpreter, said: 'It's from benefits, your honour.'

The judge asked how much he claimed in benefits, and was told £120 every fortnight.

He told Ramzan, now living in Derby, that the police would pay 'regular visits' to his address to make sure he was not taking drugs.

Ramzan was given a 12-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, and a two-year supervision order. He must also carry out 180 hours of unpaid work.

The judge added: 'I hope in the course of the supervision, you are directed to learn English.'

Swadlincote - Islamists to protest at Mercians' march

ISLAMISTS are to mark The Mercian Regiment’s first march through Swadlincote by holding a counter-demonstration demanding ‘the withdrawal of British troops from Muslim lands’.

The planned protest emerged 48 hours after the Mail revealed that the battalions would parade through the town after accepting an invitation to receive the freedom of South Derbyshire.

Zakeel Abbas, the former Midlands spokesman of banned web-based group Islam4UK, said:

“We as Muslims living in Britain will be holding a counter-demonstration against these soldiers as a voice for all those innocent men, women and children killed and murdered by these socalled heroes.

The presence of British soldiers in the Muslim lands has caused outrage and unease in the Muslim community, especially the youth, which has led to a mass increase in radicalisation.

As a Muslim living in Britain I believe I have a covenant of security as long as my life, wealth and honour are protected. As we have seen, some don’t believe this and an example is 7/7.

The only solution is that the British Government withdraw its troops from the Muslim lands now.”

Thousands of protesters from throughout Europe could join the demonstration, predicted Mr Abbas, a 33-year-old with no fixed address who spends time in Burton.

Waving banners bearing slogans, they would hold a peaceful rally which would target soldiers who, although acting on the Government’s instructions, were ‘not robots’ but people with thoughts and emotions capable of distinguishing between right and wrong.

Mr Abbas said he would contact the authority about the demonstration.

However, council leader Bob Wheeler said: “We are very proud the Mercian Regiment has accepted the invitation and I expect that pride is felt by the overwhelming majority of the people of South Derbyshire. I understand there may be those that don’t agree and they have a right to their opinions and they also have a perfect right to peaceful protest.”

Opposition Labour group leader Kevin Richards said: “It upsets me because we have all forms of race and religion within the armed forces and they are all out there doing their jobs, whether they are in Afghanistan or other countries.”

Council chief executive Frank McArdle said: “I can confirm we have received a telephone call regarding the proposed parade. The caller indicated his objection and stated he intended to organise a demonstration in protest."

No date has been set by the regiment for the parade. The public will be kept informed as soon as it has been arranged.

Defiant residents stop gipsy invasion by digging trenches and taking to the streets

Housing estate residents went to drastic lengths to stop invading gipsies - by digging trenches and taking to the streets to prevent access.

Eventually, police were forced to intervene as simmering tensions between travellers and tenants threatened to boil over amid the scenes of mayhem.

A dozen squad cars descended on the estate in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, where scores of angry locals fetched spades and dug a trench across the access road to stop caravans entering a nearby field.

During the battle, which followed weeks of increasing friction, resident Mandy Greenshields claimed a traveller vehicle tried to ram her car after she used it to block off the entrance.

Others said they were abused by gipsies and only police intervention stopped the dispute from turning to violence.

Miss Greenshields took direct action after watching three caravans enter the land owned by South Derbyshire District Council.

She said: ‘I tried to block them off by parking my car in front of the entrance, but one of them in another vehicle made as if to ram me. Then the police turned up.

‘Everybody was in uproar and it looked as though there was going to be a fight at one point because the travellers were urging the residents on. If the police hadn't got here, things would have got out of hand.’

Two further caravans managed to get onto the field via a different entrance, before the travellers left - to cheers from residents -after more than two hours of negotiations with police.

Karen Collier said: Police had blocked the road off and there were queues of people trying to get in to get home. It was absolutely manic. There were police cars everywhere.

‘We all came out as a community because we don't want the travellers here. We wouldn't mind if they were the old-style gipsies who cleaned up after themselves, but the mess they leave and the abuse you get from them is terrible.’

Sergeant Adrian Pegg, from Derbyshire Constabulary, said: ‘Our officers met a group of very angry residents determined that the travellers were not going to stay there.

‘Police attended to prevent a breach of the peace, as we have no powers to remove travellers once they have accessed land.’

Police parked one of their vehicles in front of the second entrance to the site to prevent the travellers returning, and were yesterday due to discuss the issue with the district council, to see if permanent barriers could be erected.

Meanwhile, residents were due to hold a meeting in the street last night to discuss the problem, with police and council officers expected to attend.
