Swadlincote - Islamists to protest at Mercians' march

ISLAMISTS are to mark The Mercian Regiment’s first march through Swadlincote by holding a counter-demonstration demanding ‘the withdrawal of British troops from Muslim lands’.

The planned protest emerged 48 hours after the Mail revealed that the battalions would parade through the town after accepting an invitation to receive the freedom of South Derbyshire.

Zakeel Abbas, the former Midlands spokesman of banned web-based group Islam4UK, said:

“We as Muslims living in Britain will be holding a counter-demonstration against these soldiers as a voice for all those innocent men, women and children killed and murdered by these socalled heroes.

The presence of British soldiers in the Muslim lands has caused outrage and unease in the Muslim community, especially the youth, which has led to a mass increase in radicalisation.

As a Muslim living in Britain I believe I have a covenant of security as long as my life, wealth and honour are protected. As we have seen, some don’t believe this and an example is 7/7.

The only solution is that the British Government withdraw its troops from the Muslim lands now.”

Thousands of protesters from throughout Europe could join the demonstration, predicted Mr Abbas, a 33-year-old with no fixed address who spends time in Burton.

Waving banners bearing slogans, they would hold a peaceful rally which would target soldiers who, although acting on the Government’s instructions, were ‘not robots’ but people with thoughts and emotions capable of distinguishing between right and wrong.

Mr Abbas said he would contact the authority about the demonstration.

However, council leader Bob Wheeler said: “We are very proud the Mercian Regiment has accepted the invitation and I expect that pride is felt by the overwhelming majority of the people of South Derbyshire. I understand there may be those that don’t agree and they have a right to their opinions and they also have a perfect right to peaceful protest.”

Opposition Labour group leader Kevin Richards said: “It upsets me because we have all forms of race and religion within the armed forces and they are all out there doing their jobs, whether they are in Afghanistan or other countries.”

Council chief executive Frank McArdle said: “I can confirm we have received a telephone call regarding the proposed parade. The caller indicated his objection and stated he intended to organise a demonstration in protest."

No date has been set by the regiment for the parade. The public will be kept informed as soon as it has been arranged.

EDL freedom march 22nd May update

Today's march went off without incident and the UAF were nowhere to be seen - they were probably too busy hijacking the BA talks with their friends, the SWP.

The march began in Tothill Street, then onto Great George Street, up Whitehall, past Downing Street, Trafalga Square, Cockspur Street and onto Waterloo Place, where speeches were made against the Government and their intention to ban English Patriots.

Pictures of today's march can be found HERE

Patriots found guilty over Luton 'SCUM' protest

I love MadeInEngland's videos because apart from reporting on incidents he adds a twist of humour. This one left me with tears running down my face and struggling to breath, I was laughing so much. The ending did it lmao

Anyway, here's the story...

Friday, 5 March 2010 - Two men who shouted "scum, scum, scum" at Muslim protestors during a soldiers' homecoming parade have been convicted of committing a public order offence.

Patriot 1, 27, of Hartley Road, and Patriot 2, 40, of Bollingbroke Road, both in Luton, both denied committing the offence in March 2009.

Magistrates in the town convicted the men following a trial.

They both received a nine-month conditional discharge and were ordered to pay costs of £175 each.

The men had denied using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress on 10 March.

The court had heard they were among a crowd of "25 to 30 hardcore protestors" shouting at Muslim demonstrators during a parade of the Royal Anglian Regiment.

Insp David Atraghji had told magistrates there were shouts directed at the extremists of "Bin Laden's wife is a whore" and "go and have a shave".

He added he had seen finger and hand gestures, and the Muslim protesters were told in explicit terms by the crowd to "go home".

In a police interview, the court heard, Kelso said the protesters were abusing people he considered heroes.

"My intention was to give them a piece of my mind," he added.

"If they want to be like that, they should go back where they came from.

Speaking after the hearing, Supt Mark Turner said: "Luton town has enjoyed excellent community relations for a number of years but it seems last year a small minority came to the town to cause disorder.

"There has been extensive public consultation and work behind the scenes to strengthen community cohesion in the town."

Whatever happened today, a message has gone out to all the anti-British elements in our society that wherever they pop up, they will be confronted by patriots. That is a positive note regardless of rumour etc, We may be a defeated people but we will not be going quietly.
Well done to everyone who attended.

BNP Leaders Vow to Physically Block Islamist Wootton Bassett March

Nick Griffin, Richard barnbrook & Andrew Brons

The three highest publicly elected British National Party officials, GLA member Richard Barnbrook and MEPs Nick Griffin and Andrew Brons, have vowed to physically block the road in Wootton Bassett should the authorities permit the threatened Islamist march in that town proceed.

In an official statement, the BNP announced that it would “defend Wootton Bassett and the memory of our fallen heroes. Nick Griffin MEP, Andrew Brons MEP and Richard Barnbrook AM will block the path of the Muslim fanatics.”

The statement said that the party had warned the authorities after the Luton incident that unless militant Islamism was curbed in Britain, the problem would grow worse.

“Do you remember the outrageous scenes in Luton when our returning soldiers were abused and spat on by fanatical ‘British’ Muslims?,” the statement said.

“The British National Party stated then that this was only the beginning of such vile displays as militant Islam flexes its muscles on our streets.

“We warned the authorities that unless the Government took firm action against these evil haters of all things British, they would become more provocative.

“Well, now as predicted, it’s happened. It has just been announced that the organization ISLAM4UK, (a platform for the fanatical Al Muhajiroun group) led by Mr. Anjem Choudary and a mob of at least 500 Islamic extremists plan to defile the memory of our dead soldiers by marching their hatred through Wootton Basset.

“This is the town through which the flag-draped coffins of our fallen servicemen and women are brought home. It is where families go to pay their respects to our glorious dead as they make the solemn journey to their final resting place. The thought of 500 hateful Islamists desecrating this place and spitting in the face of every true British citizen and the grief-stricken relatives of the dead is truly beyond the pale.

“It must be stopped! We will not have this! They shall not pass!

“The British National Party is under increasing pressure to bring thousands of our angry members onto the streets to stop this outrage.

“However, we are mindful of the sensitive nature and dignity of Wooton Basset and do not wish to add to the problems now faced by the good people of that town, or the families of our fallen soldiers.

“With this in mind, the British National Party WILL take a stand in defence of our heroes by having our two MEPs and our London assembly member use their own bodies to physically block the street and any attempt by Muslim fanatics to insult the memory of our fallen soldiers .

“We appeal to the authorities to do the right thing and arrest these traitorous Muslim fanatics. We are at war. Our men and women are being killed on a daily basis and we are expected to put up with this gross outrage and insult to the families of the fallen. Make no mistake, we are earnest on this issue.

“If the authorities lack the courage and moral fibre to confront this disgusting Muslim march of hate, we believe that the presence of our three highest-profile elected politicians in a peaceful yet highly symbolic defiance of the Muslim mob, will force the government to ban this vile march.

“If they do not, the PR consequences for them and public support for us will be immeasurable,” the BNP statement concluded.

Muslim protesters appear in court

The case of seven muslim men who screamed ‘baby killers’, ‘murderers’, ‘rapists’ and ‘burn in hell’ at our soldiers homecoming in Luton, has commenced and is expected to last for six days.

It is customary to stand when the judge enters court, but the seven were defiant, saying they could only show respect to their ‘God’.

During their protest, the police twice had to form a barrier around the men to protect them from angry members of the public.
