Postal Vote Fraud In Derby

ALLEGATIONS of postal vote fraud are being investigated by police in Derby.

A complaint has been sent by the Conservative party to Derbyshire police about suspected fraud in the Sinfin ward in the Derby City Council local elections – which will be held on May 6, the same day as the General Election.

The complaint involves concerns that a voter was approached by men requesting her to fill in and sign three postal voting forms in favour of the Labour party.

It is an offence to complete a postal vote that is not your own or to influence how others complete their postal vote.

Chief Superintendent Andy Hough said the matter would be investigated. He added that he had received more than one report of irregularities with postal voting.

"We have received more than one complaint in Derby and we will be making some inquiries in relation to postal votes," he said.

Councillor Harvey Jennings, leader of the Conservative group in Derby, said: "I am aware that a serious complaint has been made to the police with regards to three men intimidating a resident in Sinfin into ensuring that postal vote forms were completed in favour of the Labour party.

"It is quite shocking and I trust that the police will conduct a thorough investigation.

"I would urge any resident across the city who feels they have been put under duress to complete their vote in favour of any particular party to come forward and make a complaint to the police, as this is a practice that we do not condone.

"I have written to the leader of the local Labour Group asking him to confirm that members of his party locally are not engaged in this activity."

Chris Williamson, leader of the Labour group in Derby, said he did not think members of his group would be involved in such activities but added: "It is now a matter for the police."

Liberal Democrat leader, Hilary Jones, said she had heard rumours about it but that her group had pledged not to be involved in any such activities.

The letter of complaint was sent to the police by Philip Hickson, election agent for the local Conservative group.

He said: "The candidate for Sinfin came to me with what I considered to be serious electoral irregularities to do with postal voting. I just took the information and passed it on to the police and to Michael Foote at Derby City Council as the returning officer, as this is clearly a matter for them."

Mr Foote confirmed: "I understand a letter has been sent to the police for them to investigate.

"The proper course is for them now to carry out that investigation."

Gypsy rights campaigner's benefits scam

A campaigner for Roma gipsies' rights has been charged with helping scores of Romanians illegally claim millions in benefits.

Lavinia Olmazu, 30, and her boyfriend Alin Enachi, 29, are said to have masterminded a scam by which 172 Romanians claimed £2.6million.

Olmazu, who was arrested last week, was working as an 'inclusivity outreach worker' to Roma gipsies for both Haringey and Waltham Forest councils in North London.

The academic, who has campaigned for greater understanding of gipsy culture, is accused with Enachi of using a supposedly charitable organisation called Roma Concern to help coordinate the fraud.

The couple appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Friday alongside six gipsies, each of whom is alleged to have pocketed thousands of pounds from the scam.

Under rules introduced when Romania joined the EU in 2006, Romanian migrants cannot get a National Insurance number - which is the key to getting benefits - unless they can prove they have paid employment lined up.

Olmazu and her boyfriend are accused of giving unemployed Romanians false documentation which purported to offer them work. They are also said to have provided false invoices and references purportedly showing they were working.

Scores then used fraudulently obtained NI numbers to claim child benefit, working tax credit and child tax credit, the court heard.

The fraud was allegedly facilitated by Enachi, who attended Benefits Agency interviews with Romanians as a translator.

Lesson 1: How They Commit Election Fraud Without Getting Caught

We've been hearing a lot about the postal voting scam, but not sure how it is done.

After checking around I found an article written by The Informer over on the Green Arrow site and reproduced it here.

  1. Go here https://www.aboutmyvote.co.uk/register_to_vote/download_a_blank_electoral_reg.aspx
  2. Fill in the form with any details that you chose (false of course), but include your current address.
  3. Ignore previous address section, but ask for postal vote.
  4. Wait for form to arrive.
  5. Cast your false vote.
  6. Simple.
  7. Do not forget to cast your genuine vote though.
  8. Lastly, be careful.

This is so simple and is done by hundreds of thousands of people organised by trade unions and all left leaning bodies.

It is such an easy deception that I wonder why I never thought of it before.

However I do not advocate this voting fraud, I am just showing how easy it is thanks to the postal vote scam.

Asylum seekers playing our system

An Iraqi asylum seeker entered the country 3 years ago. He ‘toured’ Britain and decided to stay in Derbyshire. He signed up with an agency who found him a job paying £8.50 an hour. A good wage for this area.

During this time he gained a British passport, entered into an arranged marriage and his wife came over to join him. They immediately had a child.

After a while the company set him on full time. 3 months into the job he declared he was to become a full time carer for his wife who has a bad back. The company agreed to keep him on for 8 hours per week.

At work, this man has been laughing about how easy it is to come into our country and play the system. The benefits his family claim, plus his wages, are worth around £34,000 a year.

When are the British people going to wake up and vote for a party that will put an end to the deliberate ruination of our country?

This is a true story. It comes from a very close friend who works with the Iraqi. Yes, Iraqi.

He may have a British passport but he will NEVER be British.
