Postal Vote Fraud In Derby

ALLEGATIONS of postal vote fraud are being investigated by police in Derby.

A complaint has been sent by the Conservative party to Derbyshire police about suspected fraud in the Sinfin ward in the Derby City Council local elections – which will be held on May 6, the same day as the General Election.

The complaint involves concerns that a voter was approached by men requesting her to fill in and sign three postal voting forms in favour of the Labour party.

It is an offence to complete a postal vote that is not your own or to influence how others complete their postal vote.

Chief Superintendent Andy Hough said the matter would be investigated. He added that he had received more than one report of irregularities with postal voting.

"We have received more than one complaint in Derby and we will be making some inquiries in relation to postal votes," he said.

Councillor Harvey Jennings, leader of the Conservative group in Derby, said: "I am aware that a serious complaint has been made to the police with regards to three men intimidating a resident in Sinfin into ensuring that postal vote forms were completed in favour of the Labour party.

"It is quite shocking and I trust that the police will conduct a thorough investigation.

"I would urge any resident across the city who feels they have been put under duress to complete their vote in favour of any particular party to come forward and make a complaint to the police, as this is a practice that we do not condone.

"I have written to the leader of the local Labour Group asking him to confirm that members of his party locally are not engaged in this activity."

Chris Williamson, leader of the Labour group in Derby, said he did not think members of his group would be involved in such activities but added: "It is now a matter for the police."

Liberal Democrat leader, Hilary Jones, said she had heard rumours about it but that her group had pledged not to be involved in any such activities.

The letter of complaint was sent to the police by Philip Hickson, election agent for the local Conservative group.

He said: "The candidate for Sinfin came to me with what I considered to be serious electoral irregularities to do with postal voting. I just took the information and passed it on to the police and to Michael Foote at Derby City Council as the returning officer, as this is clearly a matter for them."

Mr Foote confirmed: "I understand a letter has been sent to the police for them to investigate.

"The proper course is for them now to carry out that investigation."

Police withhold evidence - serious crime squad drops charges

Over on Simon Darby's blog...

Not wishing to let go of the disgraceful attack on BNP members at College Green, Westminster we now appear to have got to the bottom of the issue. It would seem that the Metropolitan Police couldn't be bothered to send the file to the CPS or more likely deliberately held it back to time out the case.

And there you have it, full authority to attack British national Party members...

Illegal immigrants living in British gardens

At first sight, the piles of rubbish and debris strewn across this garden make it look just like a rubbish tip.

But on closer inspection, it is revealed to be a makeshift camp for desperate Eastern European immigrants.

Around a dozen are camping out in residents' gardens, sheds and even their trees as they cannot afford their own homes.

Those who live in the street in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, have been told they are powerless to remove the trespassers taking shelter on their land.

Groups of immigrants have moved into the gardens of at least six properties since November last year, leaving a trail of cider bottles, bags of human waste and drugs needles behind them.

Though homeowners have appealed for help, the police and council say they cannot arrest the trespassers - who have no passports and are mostly from Eastern Europe - because they claim it is a civil, not a criminal matter.

The immigrants gained access to the land through an open alleyway and sleep on dirty mattresses, using rolled-up blankets as pillows.

Ian Treasure, 41, one of the homeowners affected by the camps, said a man named Joseph from the Czech Republic was living in his garden coal shed.

Despite six phone calls to Peterborough City Council pleading with them to evict the immigrants and remove the mountains of dumped rubbish, he could not get the man to leave.

Mr Treasure said: 'The area has become overrun. It is disgusting and the worst thing is that nobody is doing anything about it. Every day it gets worse.

'It all started in November. I was looking out of the window and I saw a mattress in my coal shed. I went out and it turned out I had a lodger there.

'I'm not sure how many there are because I try to stay away from them but I'm fed up because they regularly drink in our gardens and take drugs.'

Mr Treasure said he had asked the man, who speaks broken English and has scabs on his face, to leave dozens of times.

'The angriest I have got was the first time I saw drug needles there in January. I freaked out,' he said.

Mr Treasure added that he was incredibly frustrated that the council and police had done nothing to help him.

He added: 'The police's hands are tied. All they can do is just move them on and then they would be back so it would be a waste of time.'

Ricky Smith, 23, attempted to remove the squatter in his shed after catching him defecating on his lawn on Wednesday night.

He said: 'I slung all his belongings into a pile and told him to get out. I haven't seen him since so hopefully he has got the message.

'I caught him defecating on my lawn, where my dog plays. I had to build a fence to keep him out of that part of the garden so my dog doesn't get ill playing in his mess.'

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said that the makeshift camps were not a criminal matter.

He said: 'Anybody is allowed to use reasonable force to stop people trespassing and get them off their property - much like a bouncer in a pub or club.

'If there is some sort of confrontation then we can step in and prevent a breach of the peace, but we cannot act directly against the trespassers.'

A spokesman for Peterborough council said: 'We are aware of a number of people who are sleeping in these gardens.

'We will be working to help them access the services which are available to them.'

Peterborough's MP Stewart Jackson today said Labour had failed to deal with immigration problems that have led to jobless migrants camping in British gardens.

The Tory MP said: 'The Labour government was warned that uncontrolled immigration would cause these sorts of problems.

'They have ignored Peterborough's needs and local taxpayers have been forced to foot the bill for their foolish and misguided policies.'

Daily Mail

Questions:

1) If they are illegal immigrants why can't they be arrested?

2) If they are taking drugs why can't they be arrested?

3) 'We will be working with them to help them access the services which are available to them'... WTF????

4) Can someone please define reasonable force?

EHRC consider legal action over stop and search of ethnics

The TRUE face of immigration

The EHRC are at it again. They are considering suing police forces for discriminating against blacks and Asians.

They say that stop and search powers are used disproportionately against ethnic minorities and in London alone almost 20% searched were black.

Hello! Wakey, wakey!

London is MAJORITY ethnic now, in fact London has the highest proportion of non-white British ethnics, with a constant inflow of new migrants from abroad, so that means us whites are discriminated against.

News for Trevor Phillips...

Most crimes ARE committed by ethnics especially in highly enriched areas.

And how is it I dare to say this? Take a look at the figures and also, in case you missed it, the video of Wimbledon and you'll see why.

Now for a few facts...
In 2007, 42% of London’s population were non-White.

A third of all Londoners were born outside the UK, compared with 12 per cent of the population of the UK.

The region had nearly 40 per cent of all foreign-born residents in the UK.

If these are figures from 2007 what will the statistics be now?

Police tell car theft victim: 'We've found your van... but it's too dangerous to get it back from traveller camp'

When a market trader was told by police his stolen Mercedes van had been found, he was overjoyed.

But Christopher Sims was amazed when an officer said it had been located in a ‘no-go’ on a notorious travellers caravan site.

A police officer explained they were unable to retrieve his £1,000 vehicle - which had £1,000 worth of goods inside - because it would mean a major operation which would put officers' lives at risk.

One officer accidentally let slip that the van is on a travellers site, The Willows, at Sandhurst, near Gloucester.

The father-of-three said: 'She told me it is a very dangerous and volatile place for the police to go.

'She said they would have to mount a huge operation with armed officers, dogs and helicopters and it would never be authorised by senior officers for the sake of a van worth £1,000 with another £1,000 worth of contents inside it.

'I think it's disgusting. It's one law for them and one for us. I feel so frustrated and angry.'

Mr Sims, of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, was visited by two officers 24 hours after reporting the vehicle stolen on February 12.

He said his jaw dropped when they told him they had an idea who might have stolen it but could not take any action.

‘They said they were sympathetic but said that because of the situation they couldn’t risk putting officers’ lives at risk,’ he said.

‘One of the officers said it was not a “no-go” area, but if they did go they would have to go in mob-handed.’

Mr Sims, who uses his van for taking goods between car boot sales, said ‘shifty looking’ strangers had approached him three times offering to buy the vehicle before it was stolen.

On the second occasion, he said, he noted down the registration number of their Transit van.

‘The one guy was right in my face waving a wad of cash and saying they wanted my van for spare parts,’ Mr Sims said.

When his van disappeared he immediately told police about his mysterious visitors and handed over the details.

‘Then the next evening I get a visit from these two officers,’ he said.

‘They sat me down and told me they have checked out the registration number and it is registered to someone known to the police.

‘But they say they can’t go there without organising a proper operation. They said it was dangerous.’

Mr Sims said he was later called on by two more officers who promised him they were looking into the case properly.

Yesterday, he said, he was visited by a ‘rookie’ WPC who let slip to him that the van is believed to be at the Willows site.

‘She very proudly told me that she has walked round there three times on her own without any trouble,’ Mr Sims said.

‘Well, if that's the case, why can't they go and make enquiries there about my van and arrest the people responsible?

‘It makes me laugh that the police have put out appeals recently for information about someone having a stone thrown at their car or a banner being stolen from outside an office yet they won't do anything about me having my livelihood stolen.

‘Direct Line have told me my policy does not cover me for theft so it looks like I have lost everything just because the police won't help me,’ he added.

A Gloucestershire police spokesman denied today that the force has ‘no-go’ areas and issued statement, stating: ‘There is currently an ongoing investigation into the theft of a white Mercedes panel van.

‘All reports of vehicle thefts are taken very seriously and this incident is being investigated thoroughly.

‘We would like to make it very clear that we do not classify any areas as “no-go zones” and that we follow all leads of enquiry appropriate to our investigation.

As White Indigenous People Slip to Minority in London, Third World Gang Warfare Becomes Biggest Police Concern

Gun crime committed by Third World-origin immigrants and their children has become the Metropolitan Police’s biggest area of concern as this year marks the predicted minority status of white people in Britain’s capital city.

A new report on crime in London shows that although the total number of offenses fell, gangland shootings have led to a big rise in gun crime.

Violent attacks were also up and senior officers said there were “grave concerns” over the rises.

The number of offences involving guns, which also includes cases where criminals claimed to be armed, went up by 49 percent to 3,306 cases from 2,224 in 2008, the police said.

Gangsters engaged in drug and turf wars are increasingly using firearms to settle scores, and often only the skill of paramedics prevented shootings becoming murders.

According to the report, the number of incidents of “youth violence cases” fell by 3.5 percent to “only” 20,272, meaning that there were 55 attacks every day, or over two per hour.

There were also “only” 130 murders in London last year, a drop of 25 from the previous year. Detectives ascribed the small decline to “massive rises in the number of stop and searches” on the streets.

There were large increases in several other categories of crime. Residential burglaries rose by nearly six percent to 62,081.

Violent crime also rose to a total of 175,000 offences. There was a 24 percent increase in the number of rapes, up from 2,131 to 2,646.

In 2007, the Third World-origin population of London was estimated to be more than two million, or about 30 percent of the total.

That same year, an official study showed that white British-born children were already the minority in many London schools.

A study made by Anthony Browne and published in The Guardian newspaper in September 2000, predicted that whites would be a minority in London by 2010.

The article also predicted that whites would be a minority in all of Britain by 2100. Given immigration levels of the last decade, that figure is probably several decades too long.

Only the British National Party is dedicated to keeping Britain British. This is the same right demanded by every other indigenous people on earth, and has nothing to do with hating anyone — only a desire to preserve one’s own.

Will you accept the challenge of ensuring that Britain remains British?

Derbyshire Police ask public's views on policing of Red, White and Blue festival

The police officer who was in charge of policing the protest against the BNP's Red, White and Blue festival in August is holding a public meeting for local residents.

Chief Superintendent Garry Sherwood, Commander for Derbyshire Constabulary's 'A' Division, which covers Amber Valley, Erewash and parts of Bolsover district council areas, is holding a public meeting for the residents of Codnor and Denby.

The meeting will be held on Monday November 2 at the Denby C of E School on Church Street, Denby and will begin at 6.30pm.

Ch Supt Sherwood said: "I want people to have the opportunity to tell us what they thought about the policing of the BNP event and the protest against it.

"The Chief Constable Mick Creedon held a public meeting beforehand and we are keen to know if there are any lessons we can learn to improve they way we deal with similar matters in the future."

Anyone wishing to attend, to ask questions or to share any concerns about any future events, should contact police on 0345 123 33 33 to register.

The hall holds a maximum of 75 people so there will be a limit on the number who can attend.

ARRESTED FOR HAVING A VOICE

It is with deep regret that I have today made a complaint about the way the police and the CPS treat British citizens.

A man was arrested outside a pub while a scuffle was happening near to where he stood. At the police station he was informed he was arrested with incitement to religious hatred. He was held for 24 hours and not allowed contact his wife. The police ripped apart his home looking for evidence, but no evidence could be found, so the man was charged with incitement to religious hatred in reference to some videos he had on youtube.

The conditions of Mr Marsh's bail are as follows:

1) Not to enter Cardiff

2) Not to go to any town or city where Wales or Cardiff City are playing away

3) Not to attend within 2500 metres of any football match five hours before kick-off and five hours after kick-off

I hear you asking yourselves why the police would do such a thing. The reason is simple, he endorses the English and Welsh Defence Leagues actions against the invasion of the British Isles by Islam. The Casuals, a group of individuals that have a love for their country and her people, has the audacity to stand up and voice their opinion against the actions of Islam, who want to take away the freedoms which our ancestors fought so hard for.

Mr marsh man was arrested on petty charges so they could gain access to his home and upset his family. Even now he is being harrassed by the police on grounds that no court will convict on and they won't return his property.
And he isn't the only one. Anyone who dares to open their mouth are being arrested and charged in exactly the same way.

Here is what the Washington Post had to say on British muslims being urged to take up jihad:

Sheikh Omar Bakir Muhammed, leader of militant group Al-Muhajiroun, told UPI the actions of the British government against Muslims -- anti-terror legislation and indefinite detention of terror suspects -- has broken the covenant of security under which Muslims in Britain previously lived. Muslims are therefore now at war with the government, he said.

Al-Muhajiroun, which states as an aim the establishment of an Islamic state in Britain, was officially disbanded in October 2004. Sheikh Omar told UPI the Muslim community would now unite in support of al-Qaida and Osama bin Laden.

However at a meeting of some 600 Muslim men, women and children in London Saturday, ostensibly organized by Women's Dawah U.K., the influence of Al-Muhajiroun was clear.

All of the speakers, headed by Sheikh Omar, were known members of the group, and a moderate Muslim source told UPI the group was behind the meeting.

The attendees shouted "Allahu Akhbar (God is great)" while watching videos of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and U.S. soldiers dying in Iraq, and unanimously pledging allegiance to bin Laden".

Why aren't the police targetting the REAL threat to Great Britain? The likes of Anjem Choudary and his mob, who stand on our street corners preaching their hatred of anything British. They are making a mockery of our police, of our beautiful country and the ridiculous system introduced by our politically correct, pathetic government.

Why do we allow them human rights? Where were the human rights of the people affected by these backward morons? Oh yes, that's right, they haven't any! All faith has been lost in our police force. Where there was once good old British justice there is now nothing.

Let the police and CPS know how disgusted you are with the treatment of our kinsmen.

Police announce conditions for protests at the RWB

Taken from the Derbyshire Constabulary website

Derbyshire Constabulary, in conjunction with Amber Valley Borough Council, has invoked sections of the Public Order Act 1986 to assist with the policing of protests at the weekend.

The British National Party is staging the Red, White and Blue event at a site on Codnor-Denby Lane on Friday, Saturday and Sunday August 15th, 16th and 17th 2008.

A number of groups indicated their plans to stage a protest in response to the event on Saturday August 16th 2008.

After talks with police and the local authority this has been agreed to but with certain safeguards.

As part of this process the police and council have invoked a number of sections of the Public Order Act to help prevent serious disorder, serious damage to property and serious disruption to the local community.

Section 12 of the act has been used to impose conditions on the public procession, which will take place between Codnor Market Place and Codnor Denby Lane.

Organisers have indicated that the protestors will set off from the Market Place at 11:45am. They will follow a route along the A6007 Heanor Road, Codnor to its junction with Codnor Denby Lane where the procession will halt.

Section 14 of the act has been used to provide a designated protest point for legitimate and peaceful protest for up to 30 people between 1pm and 4pm adjacent to the site of the event.

The remainder of the procession will then return to Codnor Market Place for speeches before dispersing.

The procession will be marshalled and accompanied by police officers.

Section 14 of the act has also been utilised to identify Codnor Market Place as a designated area for public assembly prior to and following the procession between 9am and 5pm for a maximum of 700 people.

Finally section 14a of the act has been invoked to prevent trespassory assemblies around the area known as The Bungalow in Codnor Denby Lane and the adjacent lands to an area that does not exceed a radius of five miles.

This part of the act prevents anyone trespassing on private land because of police fears that there may be disruption to the event and cause disruption to the community.

All the legislation has been used to prevent serious public disorder, damage to property and serious disruption to the life of the community.

All the orders run from 9am Friday August 15th to 4pm Sunday August 17th 2008. Anyone not abiding by the legislation may be liable to arrest.

Assistant Chief Constable Peter Goodman said: "We are trying to find a balance between allowing legitimate protest and maintaining public safety and minimising inconvenience to people who live or work in the affected area.

"We hope that people will abide by the law and enjoy the opportunity of voicing their opinions in safety."

Figures released by the Freedom of Information Act show that police officers in Derbyshire have had more than 4,500 days of work with stress-related illness between April 2008 and March 2009.

That equates to 22 years at a cost of £500,000.

Muslims won't be charged for hate crime

POLICE will be ordered not to charge Muslim extremists in many hate crime cases – to stop them becoming more militant.

Guidelines will tell forces to press for conviction only in cases of clear-cut criminal acts.

Officers will be advised not to proceed when evidence of lawbreaking is “borderline”.
Examples of crimes to which a blind eye may be turned include incitement to religious hatred or viewing extremist material on the internet.

Last night critics warned that the move could mean Islamic radicals being give the freedom to encourage violence.

Some saw the move as a politically correct attempt to appease extremists who hate Britain.

It could even mean officers tolerating many activities of Muslim preachers of hate like the hook-handed cleric Abu Hamza.

Tory MP David Davies said: “This sounds like abject surrender. Everyone should be equal in the eyes of the law.

“It doesn’t matter whether someone is suspected of incitement to hatred or shoplifting – they should all face the same risk of prosecution.

“There should be no special favours or treatment for any section of the community.”
Officials insist there is no suggestion that people who have clearly committed offences will avoid prosecution.

Instead, they want to avoid alienating Muslims on the fringes of extremism by dragging them to court over petty allegations unlikely to result in conviction.

One fear is that some young Muslims are falling under the influence of extremist preachers while serving prison sentences or on remand awaiting trial.

A senior Whitehall official said the guidance was being drawn up as part of a drive to use persuasion rather than the criminal justice system to fight extremism.

He added: “The aim is to stop people being dragged into extremism.

“We are not talking about letting someone off who has committed a clear offence, but where it is unclear if an offence has been committed.

“For instance, where there has been incitement or someone has been on the internet there can be a grey area where there is some discretion and it would be more sensible to avoid going down the criminal route.”

The Government’s counter- terrorism board is drawing up the advice, which will be sent to all police forces, including the Metropolitan, later this year.

The move follows an updated Home Office counter-terrorism strategy announced earlier this year. The new strategy urges preventative measures to win round potential extremists instead of arrest and prosecution.

“We need to be able to provide support for individuals who are drawn into criminal activity,” the document says.

Councils, community groups and the Government’s youth justice board will be among organisations expected to identify those drawn into extremism or at risk.
Social workers, teachers and other professionals will be asked to try to work with some Muslim youths to reduce the likelihood of them turning into extremists.
But the new strategy is likely to reduce the likelihood of prosecutions against Islamist extremists protesting against troops.

In Luton earlier this year, protesters displayed placards bearing the words “butchers” and “animals” at a homecoming parade for 2nd Battalion, The Royal Anglian Regiment. There were no arrests for incitement.

A Home Office spokesman said: “Preventing people becoming radicalised is a key priority for the Government. The police response needs to be proportionate to deal with crimes people commit while reducing the risk to public safety.”
The latest move represents a reversal of the policy introduced under Tony Blair in the wake of the terrorist attacks in London in 2005, when as Prime Minister he called for an overhaul of the criminal justice system to root out and prosecute extremists.

Past attempts to win over potential Muslim radicals have frequently run into controversy. Millions of pounds have been pledged to fund Muslim groups, drawing claims that they are receiving special treatment.
