After watching the video above by 10:10 I was curious as to who they are, so off I trotted to have a look. It was as I expected; the usual mish-mosh of students, vegetarians and do-gooders. Our very own Amber Valley Town Council have recently signed up which means even more of our hard earned cash will be going into yet another useless project while more important issues are being ignored.
According to 10:10 they are 'a movement of people, schools, businesses and organisations cutting their carbon by 10% in a year.
Here is an example of who has signed up so far:
2,031 schools, colleges and universities including Edinburgh University, King's College London, York University and Liverpool University
2,307 other organisations including the National Union of Students, the Womens' Institute and 155 local councils representing over 24m people
''Global warming', invented to grab yet more taxes from hard working people, is now called 'climate change'. And here’s me thinking obtaining money by deception was illegal...
One way to cut carbon dioxide and methane emissions, they claim, is to eat low-carbon dishes. Cutting out meats and dairy is one of their suggestions. I would like to point out to them that man was born with teeth for chewing meat; meat is an essential part of a healthy diet. Why do you think vegetarians walk round looking stick thin, like death warmed up and having to take man-made suppliments? Because they aren’t getting the correct balance in their diet, that’s why. Their bodies need meat!
Anyway, if you want any more information on 10:10, what they are about and what numpties are backing it, and there are plenty, then just google it. I can’t be bothered with it, I want to talk about their video.
I have to say I was quite shocked when I watched it. I consider myself to have a good sense of humour but 10:10’s video is quite shocking. Or should I say the message behind it is shocking.
It shows anyone not backing their way of thinking being blown up and of course shows the mentality of such an organisation. It is a case of ‘don’t like what we have to say? Then goodbye, you are no longer part of our society’, typical of the mind-benders in power. I say that because you can bet your bottom dollar they are behind it.
The leaked emails from the University of East Anglia towards the end of 2009 proves global warming is total fabrication and yet these lies are being taught to our children in the schools WE pay for, but most disturbing is the way 10:10 is attempting to scare the living daylights out of our children with their video.
The only way to combat this is to show our children the truth...
