Tory MP wants to ban the burkha

A Tory MP has launched a legal bid to ban Muslim women from wearing burkas in public places.

Philip Hollobone has tabled a private members' bill which would make it illegal for anyone to cover their face in public.

Mr Hollobone has previously likened full face veils to 'going round with a paper bag over your head'.

His Face Coverings (Regulation) Bill is the first of its kind in Britain, and is one of only 20 private members' bills drawn in a ballot for the chance to make it into the statute books.

The bill, which had its first reading yesterday, stands little chance of becoming law due to limited Parliamentary time and a lack of support from the main political parties. But it is set to reignite the fierce debate about the banning of the Islamic garments at a time when a number of European countries are trying to outlaw them.

Mr Hollobone said it was 'not the British way' for Muslim women to cover their faces in public.

Insisting that his bill has widespread public support, the Kettering MP added:

'People feel that something should be done about burkas, but so many are afraid to speak out for fear of being labelled a racist. Part of the British way of life is walking down the street, smiling at people and saying hello, whether you know them or not. You cannot have this everyday human interaction if you cover your face. These people are saying that they don't want to be part of our way of society.'

Whites to Blame for Black Business Failure - David Camerom

Tory leader David Cameron has blamed whites for black business failures and has promised to start a blacks-only taxpayer-funded national mentoring programme to give financial priority to Afro-Caribbeans over white British people.

Mr Cameron’s shocking display of anti-white racism appeared in an article published today in the far left, extremist Guardian newspaper, titled “We’ll change black Britain.”

In the article, Mr Cameron trotted out all the usual third-rate Marxist claptrap arguments which blame white people for all ills affecting the black community.

According to Mr Cameron, Britain’s black community are “denied” the chance to “escape poverty and build a better life for themselves and their family.”

The reason for this “denial” is, according to Mr Cameron, a “failure to address racial inequality” — in other words, white people’s fault.

Mr Cameron then listed all the problems supposedly caused by evil white people. According to the Tory leader, these problems include:

“Black pupils are permanently excluded from school at more than twice the rate of white pupils.

“Of the 3,000 students who started at Oxford in 2008, only five are black Caribbean in origin.

“This inequality extends to the job market too, with recent research showing almost half of young black people are unemployed, well over twice the rate for young white people,” he said.

If elected, Mr Cameron promised even more affirmative action measures than those already implemented by the Labour Party.

“We’ll introduce concerted action to overcome the racial barriers that exist in Britain today,” Mr Cameron said, and went on to say that a Tory government will institute a “radical plan” which will “include funding for a national mentoring programme for black people who want to start a business.”

Mr Cameron added that the special Tory fund would “provide black entrepreneurs with the targeted support, advice — and, crucially, role models — they need to access finance and work for themselves.”

Finally, Mr Cameron said that his party would provide “role models” which will “inspire a new generation of black people to take on the world.”

The British National Party utterly rejects the Tory (and Labour) obsession with blaming white people for everything that goes wrong in every other community.

The BNP is completely opposed to special set-asides, affirmative action and any policy which puts the interests of the British people last.

Four MP's Charged With False Accounting

Three Labour MP’s and one Tory peer are being charged with theft false accounting.

These aren’t simple lapses of concentration when putting forward an expense, but deliberate theft, to the extent where false receipts/invoices were created.

The dishonesty of those in charge of our country never ceases to amaze me, but what I find amazing is that there aren’t more of them facing charges. Lot’s more.

While those who have claimed excessively wriggle and squirm their way out of a summons, it seems these four men’s only chance is to use a law dating back to 1689.

Under the ancient law, the Commons rule book on expenses is covered by ‘Parliamentary privilege’ and means they can only be judged by a committee of MP’s and NOT by our courts.

What makes it even harder to swallow is the blatant disregard to the tax-payer. Lining their own pockets by any means, even at the expense of the very people who voted them into parliament and pay their wages, is all they care about.

They are thieving, lying, scheming, scum and should be dealt with like everyone else.

And what does Commons speaker, John Bercow, have to say about this fiasco? He acknowledged that the expenses scandal had done huge damage to parliament but warned against too severe a crackdown as it could put people off from standing for Parliament.

The reason for his ridiculous comment?

He's a liar and a thief himself!

What planet are these people on? Anyone who stands and gets into parliament should be above board, honest, trustworthy and faithful to the people they serve, not downright liars and thieves.

Council taxpayers will fork out to make up £1.5m pension deficit

POOR returns on investments and people living longer are likely to add £1.5m to the amount Derby City Council contributes to its pension scheme.

The fund, which is managed by Derbyshire County Council, covers the pensions for employees except teachers in all local authorities in the county, including Derby City Council.

About 36,500 people are paying into the final salary pension scheme and it is paying out to about 19,500 pensioners.

There are a further 16,500 people who used to pay in but have since left their employer and the pension is preserved until they retire.

Its value is monitored by an independent actuary every three years. The fund should have £2.6bn to make sure all its payments, both current and future, will be met.

At the 2007 valuation of the fund it was £514m short of that. Of this, £450m was for the county, city and district councils and these amounts will have increased due to the fall in the value of investments in the past year.

Council taxpayers in Derby city give £68 towards the pension scheme and, of that, £21 goes towards clearing the deficit.

For those paying Derbyshire County Council tax, £54 goes into the local government pension scheme – £14 of which goes towards covering the deficit.

The next independent review of the pension fund is due on March 31, 2010, with revised employers' contributions payable for the following years, starting in April 2011.

In light of the credit crunch and plummeting interest rates, the position could be significantly worse than it is now.

That is why the city council is already forecasting it may have to set aside a further £1.5m to put into the scheme.

How that money will be found will have to be decided during the budget process before it is set in March next year.

PRESS RELEASE: Senior Officer Reveals Truth behind Generals’ Tory-Stooge Campaign

“I was outraged! Spin and deceit are things we expect from Labour politicians and not the Defence Ministry and this is most unprofessional.” This was the reaction of a high-ranking officer in the British army who today contacted a leading figure in the British National Party after hearing the interview between Nick Griffin and Martha Kearney on Radio 4´s World at One today.

According to Martha Kearney, Radio 4 contacted the MOD to ask about Mr Griffin´s claim on TV news earlier in the morning that the army chiefs themselves had called for a limit on the percentage of foreign soldiers, who are not British citizens, serving in military units. She said that the MOD had stated that this was the case only in three specialised units for technical reasons and that they had no concern over potentially high proportions of foreign soldiers in the army in general.

Quote: “This is a downright lie,” our source informed us. “Last year the MOD published a memorandum discussing the issue. In addition to the question of specialised units, I clearly recall my delight when I saw that the paper spoke of maintaining armed forces which are ´predominantly British´ and which reflect the ´cultures and values´ of our nation.”

In other words, like so many people in Britain today, the military top brass say in private what the British National Party says in public: “out of control, mass immigration is a threat to British culture, identity and the cohesion of key institutions including the British army.”

As well as deceit by the MOD, the story of the supposedly ´independent´ generals attacking the BNP has also exposed the cynically deceitful face of Tory spin doctors.

Despite claims that the ´Stolen Valour´ campaign is non political, the reality is that it is an integral part of the ´Nothing British´ internet operation which is run by a clique of ´Notting Hill/Bullingdon Club Tory toffs´. Clearly their motivation is the fact that the armed forces vote, which the Tory Party used to dominate, is increasingly switching to the BNP.

The campaign is headed by:

*Tim Montgomerie, editor of ConservativeHome, ex chief of staff for Ian Duncan Smith.

* James Howarth, founding editor of PoliticsHome.

* Maurice Cousins — Tory researcher and blogger.

Several members of the military who have lent their weight to this campaign are close associates of the Conservative Party. In particular, General Sir Richard Dannatt works as a Tory Defence advisor and Simon Weston sits on a Conservative military policy forum.

These men are, of course, entitled to be active in any political party they wish but with such close affiliations to the Conservative Party, they are not entitled to portray themselves as politically neutral and disinterested.

So close are the links between the Nothing British operation and the Conservative Party that the BNP will tomorrow morning be submitting a formal request to the Electoral Commission to investigate the group over the possibility that its requests for donations involve a breach of party political funding law.
