Peter Tuffley - Labour Party Official (North West England Regional Officer, and parliamentary adviser to one time Home Office Minister responsible for crime and policing, Hazel Blears), convicted and jailed for 15 months and placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years in 2006, for the sexual molestation of a 13-year old boy that he had previously `groomed` on the internet. Tuffley was described as a `rising star` within the Labour Party.

Today sees the return of the English Defence League in Blackpool.

We will gather on the South Shore from ten am, you will find us easily as flags will be up. We then start our march at 1pm.

The police have said that Mr Beans shop will be under 24 hour surveillance so we are asking you NOT to approach the place as doing so will just get you arrested. We know people are angry but this has to be done properly. This is about JUSTICE not REVENGE. There is nothing to be achieved by trying to damage the shop or attack the suspects. Charlene’s mum and sister will then give a speech and a memorial CD will be played of her favourite music.

The constant pressure we are applying will eventually force the police and CPS to act and re-arrest them, so the family can get justice. This is our aim. We have told the police we will stop our demos once the family get justice.

Please show respect on the day as Charlene’s family will be there and anyone misbehaving or acting the idiot is likely to get a slap, its as simple as that.

EHRC Must Pay British National Party’s Court Costs in Full

Nick Griffin has welcomed the ruling that the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) must pay the British National Party’s court costs in full as a “victory for freedom”.

“It is a massive victory for the British National Party and freedom and a crushing blow for the Equality and Human Rights Commission and Trevor Phillips' PC bullies,” he said.

Mr Griffin’s comments follow the High Court judgement ruling that the EHRC must pay all the costs incurred by him, Simon Darby and Tanya Lumby during their brave defence against the EHRC’s attempts to seize the Party's assets and throw the defendants into prison.

The ruling of Lord Justice Moore-Bick and Mr Justice Ramsey is a further crushing defeat for the Commission and a personal humiliation for Trevor Phillips and Simon Woolley, who at the start of proceedings boasted on TV that they were going to close the British National Party down.

"Thanks to the staunch generosity of so many of our members and supporters and the magnificent efforts of our legal team, their attack on democracy and freedom failed utterly," said Mr Griffin.

"The British National Party is still very much alive and kicking. We've built up a legal team which can go head to head with the most powerful opponents and beat them."

On being told that EHRC would be forced to pay its costs in full, Simon Darby said, "I told them they would never beat me or the British National Party, but they simply wouldn't listen. Now these people are going to pay the price for persecuting Nationalists. The question has to be asked as to whether this discredited quango will survive the next round of government cuts."

Exactly how much the EHRC will have to pay must now be assessed in a long and complicated procedure that will take some months. When we get our money back, it will make a healthy contribution to our war chest for next year's Assembly election in London, where the EHRC is/was based.

Another Case of Guillain-Barre Syndrome in 17 year old girl after having the HPV Vaccination

A teenager who was left paralysed and on a life support machine after she was stricken with an immune disorder, has made an amazing recovery.

Rachel Attridge, 17, was unable to move, speak or eat for four months, after she was struck with Guillain-Barre Syndrome - a rare disease where the body's immune system attacks the nervous system by mistake.

The teenager first realised something was wrong when she began vomiting and suffered severe aches and pains throughout her body.

She rapidly tired and started to lose control of her muscles.

After dashing to Scarborough Hospital, doctors dismissed her symptoms as the flu and told her to go home, get some rest and take painkillers.

But on her way out Rachel fainted from the pain brought on by the damaged nerve endings - which occur when the immune system mistakenly attacks the nervous system.

Astonishingly, despite her worsening condition, two more doctors dismissed her pleas for help - with one even suggesting it was down to her being pregnant.

Rachel said another doctor suggested that she might simply have been attention seeking.

The terrified youngster ended up paralysed from the waist down and her mother Lynn resorted to driving her 80 miles from their Bridlington home to Hull Royal Infirmary.

She was immediately diagnosed with a rare variant of the syndrome, which is characterised by abnormal muscle coordination and paralysis.

Her condition had been left untreated for so long she was hooked straight up to a life support machine by Neurology consultants.

She remained there unable to move for four months.

While keeping a constant vigil at her daughter's bedside, Lynn watched as Rachel slowly began to lose the will to live.

The teenager, who shed three-and-a-half stone during the ordeal, said: 'At my lowest point I decided I wanted the machine switched off.

'I just thought, 'This is it, I am not going to get any better'.

'When I was on life support, I knew everything that was happening around me but I couldn't move or shout - I couldn't even speak.

'I simply wanted to die.'

Lynn, 46, added: 'They resuscitated her a couple of times.

'She was on morphine and so many drugs. You couldn't even touch her. If you touched her, she would be screaming in pain.

'Rachel was completely paralysed for four months, with a ventilator keeping her alive.

'She was tube-fed through her nose and had to have everything done for her.

'If we had not got her to hospital when we did, she would have died in my arms at home. It has been sheer hell, to be perfectly honest.'

But following a lengthy period of rehabilitation, Rachel is finally regaining her strength.

Lynn said doctors told her they were '99.9 per cent sure' Rachel's illness had been triggered by the human papillomavirus vaccine (HPV) injection.

But health officials have insisted there is no proven link between the HPV vaccination and the immune disorder.

An NHS spokesman said a thorough investigation led by a clinical governance practitioner was carried out last year following concerns raised by Lynn.

He said: 'At least four million doses of Cervarix have been given to girls in the UK and there is no evidence that the vaccine has increased the frequency of GBS above that expected to occur naturally in the population.

'However, we are very pleased to hear of Rachel's recovery.'

Now, one year since her battle against the life-threatening illness began, Rachel has returned to college to finish her childcare course and take a big step towards landing her dream job.

Rachel said: 'I'm glad it's all over. I've been told it may take three years for the nerve endings that were damaged to fully recover.

'ut I'm simply happy not to be trapped in my own body missing out on everything like birthdays and hanging out with friends.

'I wouldn't want any other person to suffer the issues I had had to go through over the past year.

'But I'm getting better and better everyday, loving life again and looking forward to completing my studies and doing what I love most.'

Young woman murdered in Somercotes

The people of Somercotes and the surrounding area are left reeling at the death of a talented young business analyst who was found murdered in local woodland.

Jia Ashton, 25, worked at Thorntons chocolate factory next to the A38 between Somercotes and Alfreton and was last seen leaving work at 5pm last Thursday.

Mrs Ashton, who was only 4' 10", was dragged into the woods adjoining Thorntons and beaten to death. No weapon was used and the offence was not sexually motivated.

A 26 year old man was arrested but released after questioning and police are now appealing for more information.

Many people walk their dogs in the woods and some were spotted during the day Mrs Ashton was murdered, but so far none have come forward with any information.

The police are warning people not to go out alone after dark.

Cancer Research charity shop forced to shut over health and safety regulations

A charity shop has been forced to close after the volunteers who run it were ordered to employ a £25,000-a-year manager – to implement health and safety regulations.

The Cancer Research UK store is run by 30 pensioner volunteers who have raised hundreds of thousands of pounds over the last 20 years.

But it has closed down after the Health and Safety Executive ruled that a paid manager must be appointed to plug ‘significant gaps” in regulatory compliance.

The position, which would cost around £25,000 a year to subsidise, would ”swallow up” most of the shop’s £30,000-a-year in takings.

Terry Allen, 80, was among 30 pensioners who took over the running of the shop in Cullompton, Devon, in 2006, when Cancer Research ceased to fund staff salaries.

Since then, the team have effectively managed the shop until last week, when they were told they had to close the shop ”immediately because of health and safety risks”.

Mr Allen, who is the secretary of Cullompton Friends of Cancer Research UK, said: ”We’re devastated over the decision.

”One person has fallen down in four years and they were quite happy to get up and walk home, but the charity contacted us to say it was frightened to death somebody would take legal action against us.

”At the moment we have a volunteer manageress who does an amazing job, but we have been told we need someone on a paid full-time basis.

‘Since we took over the shop, we assumed we were independent but, as the Cancer Research UK name is above the door, they claim they have the right to invoke observation of the health and safety risks, which they felt were not being dealt with adequately.”

The pensioners took over the running of the shop five years ago after Cancer Research UK announced plans to close the shop because it was not making enough profit.

The outlet has become a ‘hub’ for the community where dozens of pensioners meet every day and pore through the items on sale.

It has also raised an average of £30,000 every year since they took over, and turned a profit of £42,000 in 2010.

But Cancer Research UK announced last year they were carrying out health and safety checks at all of their seven shops in the South West.

A member of the Health and Safety Executive visited the shop and outlined ten areas which needed to be monitored in order to fulfil insurance criteria.

And last week the volunteers were told they had to install a paid manager, at a cost of around £25,000 a year, or cease trading immediately.

Mr Allen added: ”Staff now need to be instructed on how to use cleaning products properly, but these people have been using them for at least 50 years.

”It seems like common sense to me and other volunteers but somebody needs to assess it every so often and write a report about it in a management position.”

The pensioners each put in around £100 of their own money since taking over the shop for ”every day expenses” and calculate they have made around £150,000 profit for the charity in that time.

Simon O’Leary, head of volunteer fundraising for Cancer Research UK, said: ”We recently commissioned a detailed survey to assess the condition and review health and safety and compliance of this shop.

”Unfortunately a number of significant gaps were identified and the Cullompton Friends came to the difficult decision to close their shop.

”We would like to send our heartfelt thanks to everyone at Cullompton Cancer Research UK Friends committee, whose members have given a huge amount of time and commitment to the charity for many years.”

Fluoride in water is a government sponsored hazardous waste disposal program.

Fluoridation is unethical because:

•It violates the individual's right to informed consent to medication.
•The municipality cannot control the dose of the patient.
•The municipality cannot track each individual's response.
•It ignores the fact that some people are more vulnerable to fluoride's toxic effects than others. Some people will suffer while others may benefit.
•It violates the Nuremberg code for human experimentation.

As stated by the recent recipient of the Nobel Prize for Medicine (2000), Dr. Arvid Carlsson:
"I am quite convinced that water fluoridation, in a not-too-distant future, will be consigned to medical history..

"No physician in his right senses would prescribe for a person he has never met, whose medical history he does not know, a substance which is intended to create bodily change, with the advice: 'Take as much as you like, but you will take it for the rest of your life because some children suffer from tooth decay. ' It is a preposterous notion."

Fluoridation is unnecessary because:

•Children can have perfectly good teeth without being exposed to fluoride.
•The promoters (CDC, 1999, 2001) admit that the benefits are topical not systemic, so fluoridated toothpaste, which is universally available, is a more rational approach to delivering fluoride to the target organ (teeth) while minimizing exposure to the rest of the body.
•The vast majority of western Europe has rejected water fluoridation, but has been equally successful as the U.S., if not more so, in tackling tooth decay.
•If fluoride was necessary for strong teeth one would expect to find it in breast milk, but the level there is 0.01 ppm, which is 100 times LESS than in fluoridated tap water (IOM, 1997).
•Children in non-fluoridated communities are already getting the so-called "optimal" doses from other sources (Heller et al, 1997). In fact, many are already being over-exposed to fluoride.
Fluoridation is ineffective because:
•Major dental researchers concede that fluoride is ineffective at preventing pit and fissure tooth decay, which is 85 percent of the tooth decay experienced by children (JADA 1984; Gray 1987; White 1993; Pinkham 1999).
•Several studies indicate that dental decay is coming down just as fast, if not faster, in non-fluoridated industrialized countries as fluoridated ones (Diesendorf, 1986; Colquhoun, 1994; World Health Organization, Online).
•The largest survey conducted in the U.S. showed only a minute difference in tooth decay between children who had lived all their lives in fluoridated compared to non-fluoridated communities. The difference was not clinically significant nor shown to be statistically significant (Brunelle & Carlos, 1990).
•The worst tooth decay in the U.S. occurs in the poor neighborhoods of our largest cities, the vast majority of which have been fluoridated for decades.
•When fluoridation has been halted in communities in Finland, former East Germany, Cuba and Canada, tooth decay did not go up but continued to go down (Maupome et al, 2001; Kunzel and Fischer, 1997, 2000; Kunzel et al, 2000 and Seppa et al, 2000).
Fluoridation is unsafe because:
•It accumulates in our bones and makes them more brittle and prone to fracture. The weight of evidence from animal studies, clinical studies and epidemiological studies on this is overwhelming. Lifetime exposure to fluoride will contribute to higher rates of hip fracture in the elderly.
•It accumulates in our pineal gland, possibly lowering the production of melatonin, a very important regulatory hormone (Luke, 1997, 2001).
•It damages the enamel (dental fluorosis) of a high percentage of children. Between 30 percent and 50 percent of children have dental fluorosis on at least two teeth in optimally fluoridated communities (Heller et al, 1997 and McDonagh et al, 2000).
•There are serious, but yet unproven, concerns about a connection between fluoridation and osteosarcoma in young men (Cohn, 1992), as well as fluoridation and the current epidemics of both arthritis and hypothyroidism.
•In animal studies fluoride at 1 ppm in drinking water increases the uptake of aluminum into the brain (Varner et al, 1998).
•Counties with 3 ppm or more of fluoride in their water have lower fertility rates (Freni, 1994).
•In human studies the fluoridating agents most commonly used in the U.S. not only increase the uptake of lead into children's blood (Masters and Coplan, 1999, 2000) but are also associated with an increase in violent behavior.
•The margin of safety between the so-called therapeutic benefit of reducing dental decay and many of these end points is either nonexistent or precariously low.
