Co-Op refuses to serve one of our returning soldiers for being in uniform

Is it any surprise that one of our soldiers returning from Afghanistan has been refused service in the New Addington, Croydon, Co-Op, when you consider the demographics? It is under 60% white. I'll let you guess what half the other 40% is made up of.

Here's the story...

A hero soldier who had just arrived home from a tour of Afghanistan was refused service at a supermarket after being told they didn't serve people in army uniform.

Sapper Anthony Walls, of the 21 Engineer Regiment, popped into the Co-op in Croydon for some beers after a gruelling 34-hour journey from Kandahar.

The 27-year-old, said it was his 'first hour back in the real world' after dodging Taliban bullets for the past four-and-a-half months helping build 'the most dangerous road in Afghanistan'.

But when he arrived at the till to pay he was met with a blank stare from the cashier, who refused to serve him and called for her manager.

When the manager turned up he told him he 'couldn't do anything about it' and refused to serve him while he was in uniform.

The patriotic soldier - who was on his way to his three-year-old nephew Jack's birthday party - simply left his beer at the check-out and walked out of the shop in daze.

He said: 'I was shocked and deeply hurt.

'All I was thinking about was getting home to Jack in time to wish him a happy birthday.

'It was great to be home after a difficult journey and I just thought I'd grab a couple of beers - a luxury I hadn't had in a while.

But when I came to pay the cashier refused to serve me and rang her bell.

'A male supervisor came along and the cashier explained she was refusing to serve me because I was in uniform.

'He looked at me and said "I can't do anything about it".

'I put the beer down and walked out.'

Anthony, who joined up when he was 17, said it was 'tough' in Afghanistan and that he had witnessed the death of one of his best pals, Sapper Daryn Roy, who died at the age of 28 in an IED explosion in May this year.

He added: 'It's really tough out there. Sometimes the only thing that keeps you going is the support and love from home. I appreciate the Co-op cashier may have had her own opinions about the war, but we are just doing a job and laying our lives down for this country. A little respect and appreciation would be nice.'

Anthony's sister Claire Lloyd, 33, said she was 'disgusted' at her brother's treatment at the Co-op store in New Addington, Croydon.

The mother-of-four said: 'I am so proud of Anthony - he works hard and willingly puts his own life on the line every day.

'To come home to this kind of treatment is disgusting.

'I feel he deserves an apology in person from the Co-op. Anthony and his colleagues are the unsung heroes of this country - they deserve the respect and civility extended to anyone else in a uniform.'

A spokesperson for The Co-operative said: 'This was a genuine mistake on the part of our two members of staff, and has nothing to do with anyone’s ethnicity, religion or personal views (pull the other one). We have apologised to the soldier in question and hope to welcome him back to the store.

'We do not have a policy that states that when wearing uniform, members of the armed forces should not be served alcohol or cigarettes and are all welcome in our stores.'

Armed Forces Day Events To Honour Military

The country is preparing to demonstrate its support for the military on the second annual Armed Forces Day.

Events will centre on Cardiff where the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall will lead a ceremony which is expected to draw a 50,000 strong crowd.

Some 350 other events will also be taking place across the country.

"As a nation, we have a duty to support our Armed Forces for all they do for us," defence secretary Liam Fox said.

"Members of the Armed Forces, both past and present, have made great sacrifices in the name of our country but these men and women do not ask for sympathy, they ask for your support."

The national event in the Welsh capital includes a parade, a church service, an RAF flypast and celebrity endorsements from David Walliams, Matt Lucas, Katherine Jenkins and Graham Norton.

It also marks the end of a particularly difficult week in Afghanistan. Since Sunday, eight British troops have died. In all, more than 300 have now died.

Politicians and military commanders are aware that the casualties and images from the weekly repatriation ceremonies influence public opinion.

Major-General Gordon Messenger, the military spokesman on Afghanistan, hopes events like Armed Forces Day help to balance opinion.

"If I had a plea, I think it would be to better understand the reasons why they're there and the progress that's being made and to not simply view Afghanistan through the lens of the casualties," he told Sky News.

"I think it is incumbent on me and on everyone who has an understanding of the Afghan campaign to do all we can to better inform the public as to those reasons."
On Thursday, hundreds of Territorial Army reserves wore their military uniforms to work as part of the Armed Forces Day events.

One of them was Corporal Stuart White, a soldier in 7 Rifles and a refuse collector from Reading, Berkshire.

"I think it's good. If it raises awareness and support then I am all for it," he said.

"Obviously there can be a bit of downside because not everyone agrees with what's going on. But on the whole I think it's good, anything to raise awareness for the troops and get support for them."

Corporal White's civilian boss is waste operations manager Chris Green, whose son was killed in Afghanistan in March. He supports Armed Forces Day but also supports the war.

"I'll quote my son on that. He was home on R&R just before he was killed," said Mr Green.

"He had three or four friends die out there. He was right next to them. He told me that if we pull out now, then it's basically dishonouring their memory. So that's how he felt about it. Nothing to do with politics, its all about the men."

Wootton Bassett: BNP Leader’s Sad Welcome to Loyal Members’ Son

Press Statement:
Wootton Bassett: BNP Leader’s Sad
Welcome to Loyal Members’ Son

British National Party Greater London Assembly member Richard Barnbrook today called for the indictment and prosecution of Tony Blair and all politicians responsible for the war in Afghanistan after attending a repatriation ceremony in Wootton Bassett for Rifleman Jonathon Allot, the son of loyal BNP members from Bournemouth.

Mr Barnbrook was invited to attend the sad ceremony by 19-year-old Jonny’s grief-stricken parents, BNP members who are strongly opposed to the conflict in Afghanistan.

“The British public are outraged and disgusted with the toll this unjust conflict is taking on our young people’s lives,” Mr Barnbrook said after throwing roses on the hearse carrying the remains of the 3 Rifles member who was killed as he was clearing explosives in Helmand Province.

Jonny was the front man in a patrol responsible for clearing improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from pathways used by his comrades and was killed while on patrol to find a new base. “How much longer must the public endure these unbearable hardships? “How many times must young people's lives be so cruelly ended for a war which has nothing to do with Britain and in which no British interests are served?

“The time has come for the public to demand that the people responsible for the sad events of today, and all the other days, be held accountable for their actions. “Our troops should not be in Afghanistan. As if this was not enough, they have been sent there deliberately underfunded and ill-equipped and are expected to operate under the harshest conditions with substandard supplies and armour.

“The whole nightmare is a disgrace and Mr Blair, Gordon Brown, Iain Duncan Smith and all of the politicians who sent our soldiers to Afghanistan must be put on trial for the crimes they have committed against our nation,” Mr Barnbrook said. The BNP is considering sending a fact-finding mission to Afghanistan to obtain a first-hand account of the situation.

Jihadist Group Trying to 'Invade' Facebook Gets Shut Down

A quickly growing jihadist group that used Facebook to spread its radical message has been shut down by the popular Web networking site after FOXNews.com alerted the company to the group's activities.

Facebook blocked the group, Fursan Ghazawat Alnusra — Arabic for "Knights in Support of the Invasion" — Thursday evening after the group swelled to about 120 members in just over one week.

The group had been exhorting its members to wage "Jihad to aid the religion of Allah and his Prophet."

FOXNews.com, working closely with a former radical Muslim now dedicated to exposing cyberterror activity, was able to gain access to the group and its content.

Fursan Ghazawat Alnusra wrote that its purpose was "to support Jihad and Mujihadeen" and that it started the Facebook group "to invade this Web site" and to ask "Allah to grant us Jihad and martyrdom."

It promised future action: "Today we invade your sites, tomorrow your lands and homes, o you cross worshippers."

The site's contents included three graphic videos:

— A so-called "martyr" statement from a soon-to-be homicide bomber;

— An Islamic militant, just before dying in battle, asking others to position him for proper prayer to bless his actions.

— A purported Egyptian "traitor" being beheaded on camera because he was accused of helping Americans in Iraq.

A few members of the group posted photos to identify themselves, known as profile pictures, that included well known members of Al Qaeda's leadership as well as prominent Saudi clerics.

One of the group's founders, who called himself Omar Abdel Hakeem, after the Syrian cleric who wrote the book on how to instruct Al Qaeda followers to use technology, wrote a mission statement to inspire "Jihad" against "the cross worshippers," or Christians:

"Maybe the day will come when one of the martyrs is asked [by Allah] who urged you to Jihad, so he answers saying: a message came to me from Facebook asking me to support the Mujihadeen. The message impacted me therefore I went to Jihad to destroy the places of the cross worshippers."

Jarret Brachman, a freelance cyberterror expert who formerly was director of research in the Combating Terrorism Center at the United States Military Academy, called the group's members "Ji-hobbyists" — users who may be passionate about Al Qaeda's teachings but were unlikely to take violent action.

"They're very knowledgeable and serious. They know the movement, and are using Facebook, not so much to plan an attack, but to propagate a message," Brachman said.

FOXNews.com contacted Facebook on Thursday seeking information about Fursan Ghazawat Alnusra. A few hours later, Facebook yanked the site. A similar group with the same content appeared briefly Friday and was taken down within minutes.

Facebook spokesman Barry Schnitt said the group is now disabled and that the company is investigating the group's "friends," and may take further action.

He said Facebook has taken steps to increase monitoring for content supporting terrorism, but he said such actions are difficult.

"Facebook is a start-up of 800 people with a user base of over 140 million," Schnitt said. "Certainly anything that supports violence is at the top of our monitoring list."

Though radical Islamic groups like Al Qaeda are pioneering uses of the Internet to train, share ideas and organize, cyber experts said the the most threatening Jihadists are reluctant to use sites like MySpace and Facebook.

"There is a major vulnerablility in using these sties. It is just an open way to support their movement," said Brachman.

To protect identities, members of Fursan Ghazawat Alnusra were told to use fake names and new e-mail accounts to avoid detection. Most of the discussions were carried out in Arabic, and there was an explicit appeal made for members who speak English, in order to help with English-language propaganda.

It was unclear how many members were based in the United States, although several members claimed to be Americans. According FOXNews.com's source who regularly monitored the group's discussions throughout the week, at least several of the members appeared to be American because of their writing style.

On Monday, the group announced on Facebook that it had created a formal structure of seven "battalions," responsible for duties ranging from spreading religious materials to military knowledge.

It claimed that three of the seven "battalions" had started recruiting, and communication among those individuals could continue even if the Facebook group were to shut down.

"We can't know if these are sophisticated actors capable of coordinating or assisting attacks or if these are just attention-seekers," warned terror expert David Draper of the Nine/Eleven Finding Answers (NEFA) Foundation. "But just having the propaganda available for impressionable youths to find at Facebook is dangerous in and of itself."

That idea seemed to be echoed by one Fursan Ghazawat Alnusra founding member, who identified himself as AboLbaraa Alshamy. He wrote:

"90% of this war is propaganda war.... Therefore those of us who are not in the real Jihad need to engage in this propaganda war."

Experts agree that moves by Facebook and other Internet companies to shut down the group do little. Members of the now-disbanded Fursan Ghazawat Alnusra could form a similar group on another social networking site or even again on Facebook.

They say that to avoid detection, groups like this know now know to strip out words that get their posts flagged, enabling them to get their message out to impressionable young Muslims.

"Propaganda doesn't need to have overt support for violence or terrorism in order to inspire someone to become a terrorist," Draper said.

Choudary's letter to our dead heroes families

The news seems to be dominated by muslims these days.

Every single day they are in the news whether it be here in the UK or abroad.

Here in England it is usually the vile anjem choudary spouting his mouth off and today is no different.

Not content with threatening a march in Wootton Bassett against our fallen soldiers, he has now written an open letter to the families of our fallen advising them to turn to islam.

I was going to provide a link to the letter but apparently I no longer have permission to enter the site. Maybe it's busy, after all, his ugly mug is splashed all over the news and people are curious.

Oh well, never mind, it just so happens I have a copy...

May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon those who follow the guidance.

Following the public announcement of an impending procession by islam4uk (a branch of Al-Muhajiroun) through the Market Town of Wootton Basset we thought it only appropriate that we provide an explanation and a little more about the purpose behind the procession, especially to the family and friends of those who have died there and who may have been led to believe that it is merely an act of incitement or provocation.

We begin by inviting all non-Muslims to Islam, the perfect and most beautiful way of life, a favour from Allah (God) to mankind to take him out of the darkness of worshipping his own desires to the exclusive worship, submission and obedience of Allah alone, without partners and to testify the Messenger-ship of the final Prophet Muhammad (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). We urge you to embrace Islam and save yourselves and your family from the hellfire and not to believe the lies and distortions which the Western media and non-Islamic regimes would have you believe about Muslims and their true intentions. Islam means submission and the Muslim is the one who submits to the will of God in his life. Verily the Messenger Muhammad told us that whoever heard his name from the Jews and Christians and did not believe would be held accountable for that on the day of judgement.

We start by pointing out what many wise people already know i.e. that the British public have once again been lied to by their politicians about the war in Afghanistan. What began as a fight for freedom and democracy and to protect the human rights of the civilians and to find Sheikh Usama Bin Laden (by the use of B52 bombers) has today become a campaign to protect the security of the British public back home and it has gone from being a campaign which could be completed without firing a weapon within 3 years to one which could go on for 40 or 50 years with a heavy cost to the participants.

In actual fact the foreign policy of the USA and UK is not about protecting the rights of Muslims or propagating democracy and freedom nor is it about the threat posed by the people in Afghanistan to the British public at all, but rather it is to establish their own military, economic, strategic and ideological interests in the region. The rich resources of Afghanistan, its position on the cusp between the Indian sub-continent, Southern Russian, Asia and China and its populations call for the Shari'ah are the real reasons why the military has sought to establish a permanent role there, no matter what the cost to the lives and wealth of the indigenous people or indeed their own. Pivotal in this is the desire to prevent Muslims from running their own affairs and establishing an Islamic State if they so wish but rather to maintain a puppet in the area (Mr Karzia) to maintain and protect Western interests.

In order to create an atmosphere where these greedy objectives can be accomplished the Western and even Eastern media have constantly shown atrocities being committed against the ordinary people of Afghanistan and Pakistan, in markets, universities and public gathering places and have then blamed these on the perceived enemy, in order to discredit any legitimate struggle for liberation and in order to demonise them in the eyes of the world and thereby justify the occupation and real intentions. The truth about such bloodshed and mayhem is only now becoming public knowledge after information about the real perpetrators has emerged (such as the CIA related agency Black Water). The billions of dollars paid to the Pakistan regime by the USA/UK alliance and to the Secret services in Pakistan, their army and to the Karzai Afghan regime by way of bribes has led them to slaughter their own citizens with the help of the USA/UK and to then blame the Taliban in an attempt to subdue those seeking liberation to fulfil their right to run their lives by divine law and to protect the US/UK military and economic interests. With additional atrocities being committed by the USA and UK through indiscriminate air raids and other operations the number of ordinary Muslim men, women and children who have been killed has reached horrendous proportions. Not to mention the torture and abuse of basic rights by the occupiers in Afghanistan, such as in Bagram Air Base, the case of Dr Affia Siddiqui being a clear and brutal example.

There is no doubt in most people's minds that the final conclusion to the current conflict in Afghanistan has already been written. Ultimate victory for those fighting in their own backyard, familiar with the mountains and plains and their supporters who struggle to protect their sanctities from the foreign aggressors cannot be denied. The signs for this are already appearing with incohesive thinking among the British and American chain of command, the crippling effect of the war on their economies back home and the depression of the soldiers realising that there is no real moral or ethic reason for them to murder innocent men, women and children to fulfil their politicians agenda. Blaming a lack of equipment is one of the ways in which politicians have tried to shift the focus. It is noteworthy that unlike among the US and UK soldiers, there has not been one reported suicide or attempted suicide among those resisting occupation.

As a consequence this can only mean much more destruction for the USA and UK sons and daughters sent by their uncaring leaders to their deaths. After all this would not be the first time that this region has acted as a grave yard for empires in history, notably the British and Russians.

It is worth reminding those who are still not blinded by the media propaganda that Afghanistan is not a British Town near Wootton Basset but rather Muslim land which no one has the right to occupy, with a Muslim population who do not deserve their innocent men, women and children to be killed for political mileage and for the greedy interests of the oppressive US and UK regimes.

The procession in Wootton Basset is therefore an attempt to engage the British publics minds on the real reasons why their soldiers are returning home in body bags and the real cost of the war. The conflict in Afghanistan is not an ‘honourable' defence of British values and a cause for the British to remain secure, rather the presence of the US and UK forces in Afghanistan is the cause of instability in the region and a cause of insecurity for the British people back home. The parades, the speeches about soldiers doing their duty and the feeling of patriotism has obfuscated the reality of the conflict and the murderous crimes being committed by the occupiers and their agents. The British public is blissfully unaware of what is being done in their name by the Blair/Brown regimes and were the truth known no doubt the pressure to withdraw all troops immediately would be much greater.

It is our desire to end the cycle of violence and the quagmire in which we find ourselves in today in Afghanistan. For the British public to do their duty and force their regime to save their children from death and destruction, from an oppressive and costly campaign and to stop the occupation of Muslim land. We realise that, especially in times of war, we are up against a very sophisticated propaganda machine and no doubt raising awareness about the painful truth of this conflict will unleash a torrent of abuse from the media and government against us, who have their own predetermined agenda, however the world is today also small enough for those wishing to verify the truth to be able to do so via the many news and information outlets.

Now forgive me if I am mistaken, but isn't Al-Muhajiroun banned in this country?

Why hasn't this idiot and his cronies been arrested?

Welcome home daddy

I have always been a dog lover. I was brought up dogs and when I left home I carried on the tradition.

Dogs, you see, love you no matter what. If you are angry, they know; if you are scared, they know; if you are sad or ill, believe me, they know.

I have only been without a dog for 5 months of my life. That was when Jess died at the age of 13. I was heartbroken, locked myself away and cried all the time; I thought I could never have another. I'll more than likely write about it at some point but for now I want to talk about the video above.

The little lady in the video is six-year-old Gracie. Her master, captain Schmidt, serves in the West Virginia National Air Guard and had just returned from Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Captain Schmidt said:

'When I got off the plane, I was home a little bit, and then when I drove down the street and looked out of the window I was home a little bit more, but when the door opened and she came running out, I felt like I was finally at home.'

Now some of you may think it's soppy, but the sight of seeing a soldier returning home from Afghanistan to such a show of unconditional love brought tears to my eyes.

BOYCOTT THE PRESS - FOCUS ON TRINITY MIRROR

Trinity 3 Year Share Price - Even a dead cat bounces

Recommendation - SELL

One of the most disgusting and shameful newspapers to constantly attack the British National Party and that seeks constantly to keep the truth from the True British People is the Daily Mirror.

The Mirror is owned by Trinity Mirror PLC which owns five national papers and 120 regional papers, although with the collapse of their share price it seems that many more will be lost by the end of next year and there is a very good chance that Trinity Mirror may actually cease to exist. Certainly it looks as if the Trinity Mirror owned Merseyside post will not be around much longer.

The national papers they own are the Daily Mirror, the Sunday Mirror, The People and in Scotland, the Daily Record and the Sunday Mail.

In Wales, they produce the Western Mail and Wales on Sunday. Both red infiltrated rags that have strong links to the communist run Searchlight organisation and regularly run anti British National Party stories that they fabricate on a regular basis.

Their online shite site, Wales Online has in fact banned me twice on their forum in response to my posting of links to the Liars, Bugger and Thieves site revealing details of corrupt establishment councillors, implying that I had "fabricated" the information posted. Visit and check the sources.

As well as incitement to violence in the Western Mail, the other Trinity Rag, Wales on Sunday suggests that their dwindling band of readers flood the British National Party with spam mail in attempt to stop it functioning. So again we see Trinity Mirror advocating criminal acts against a legal political party.

So is it any wonder that the readers of Trinity House papers are leaving in shoals and following them like dolphins following sardines go the advertisers.

So bad are things for Trinity Mirror, that in order to prop up their collapsing share price earlier this year, Trinity Mirror sacked 1200 of their workers and closed down 27 of their regional newspapers.

Hard to think that a company worth over a £1.5 billion a few years ago is now valued at around £250 million with a pension deficit that increased by 68.6 million pounds in the first half of the year to 275 million pounds as at June 30. Of course screwing up pensions is not new to the Daily Mirror.

And if you remember, it was the Daily Mirror that insulted our wounded servicemen in this article here. I warn you that if you have not read it then you are going to get very angry with the Daily Mirror and their owners Trinity Mirror.

Well, welcome to the real world, corporal. That's what the rest of us have to put up with all the time.

Why should an injury suffered in Basra count for more than one suffered in Birmingham?

We have a volunteer army. There are no conscripts. These men and women choose to place themselves in the line of conflict.

It was also Trinity Press that insulted an entire army regiment and was then forced to aplogise after they published Fake Photographs that even a blind, dead bat could see were false, that endangered British Troops at home and abroad by publishing them.

Of course, as well as insulting our servicemen and publishing fake photos to try and boost sales, Trinity Mirror is quite capable of coming up with some real rubbish attacking the BNP that they could have only thought of after taking drugs.

Remember this load of cobblers when they said that under a BNP government women wearing a skirt above the knee would be an imprisonable crime.

Seriously, with the Trinity Mirror rags writing endless lies and rubbish like the above, is it any wonder that Sly Bailey, the Trinity Mirror chief executive had to take a 50% pay cut as advertisers concerned with the falling circulation of the Trinity Rags took their money elsewhere.

With falling circulation and and shrinking advertising revenue, if I held shares in Trinity Mirror Plc then I would be biting the bullet and sell them now before they become really worthless and if I knew anyone holding them it would only be decent to warn them.

For those wishing to help Trinity Mirror slide into oblivion then you can sign the pledge to Boycott the National and Regional Press by going here where already 2000 people have signed up and are depriving organisations like Trinity Mirror of over a quarter of a million pounds per year already.

Trinity Mirror - Advertising Revenue Falls

Trinity Mirror - Suffers digital crash - online revnue down

In an interim management statement (pdf) covering the year to October 25, the company reveals there's no end to its digital revenue slide and online ads were down 19 percent year on year. And things are getting worse: in the 17 weeks to October 25, digital sales are down 22 percent on the year-ago figure.

Trinity Mirror also said that another four titles had been axed since the end of June, on top of 22 in the first half of the year and nearly 30 in 2008. Job losses so far this year were more than 1,000.

Trading Recommendation is - if you are long go short. If you have no positon then sell them short and make some money from the enemies of the people - Trinity Mirror PLC

Please link and cascade this article and help make Trinity Mirror pay for for every lie they print about the British National Party and their brave activists.

Check here to see if your regional paper is owned by Trinity Mirror

Afghanistan

Fallen Soldier All Alone
Fallen Soldier Far From Home
Trickling Down His Face A Tear,
Forgetting How It Feels To Fear
Death And All Its Fate And Glory.
Now It's Here, No Need To Worry.
He's One Of Those They'll All Forget;
The Life He Lived, The Goals He Set,
The Ones He Loved, The Ones Who Wait
To See His Nearly Forgotten Face.
Now Breathing's Just A Waste Of Breath
And Living's Just A Waste Of Death
As He Searches For A New Address;
A Brand New Home Free Of Loneliness.
Lying Motionless On The Ground,
The Battle Raging All Around.
For Now He Is Not All Alone.
This Fallen Soldier Is Welcomed Home

"Asian" Clerk Snubs British Mum for Supporting Injured Troops

MUM-of-three Beth Hoyle claims an Asda till worker refused to serve her because she was wearing a wristband backing injured troops.

Beth says the checkout lad told her the band for Help for Heroes - aided by The Sun - meant she supported the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

And when she complained to a supervisor, he BACKED the Asian youth, saying he was entitled to his view.

Beth, 40, who has two brothers in the services, said the checkout worker told her he didn't want to serve her because of "what she was wearing."

Shocked Beth, of Whitworth, Greater Manchester, said that at first she thought the youth at Asda's Rochdale store meant a cross round her neck.

"He pointed to my Help for Heroes wristband and accused me of supporting the war. I told him it was nothing to do with the war, but about supporting our injured troops.

"I immediately complained to a supervisor, but he said it was his right not to serve me. I was disgusted."

An Asda spokeswoman said they were "shocked" by the claims but had found no evidence that the incident happened in their store.

She added: "We are big supporters of the Help for Heroes campaign and we sell the pin badges and wristband in hundreds of our stores."

Ripley soldier tells of his Taliban blast drama

A RIPLEY soldier who has just returned from the front line in Afghanistan said the army had provided him with the 'scariest' and most 'exciting' experiences of his life.

Robert Eyre, 21, who serves with 245 Squadron 14th Signal Regiment (Electronic Warfare), based in Wales has just returned from a six-month tour of the war-torn country.

Recalling his first experience of coming under enemy attack, Robert said. "An explosion went off then another one hit us.

"It was one of scariest and most exciting things I have done in my life. The insurgents fired rounds of rocket propelled grenades.

"We scrambled around, got our body armour and helmets on and manned the radios while the guys got their guns."

The regiment was deployed on March 13 and spent six months in Helmand Province, tuning in to the insurgents attacking coalition troops. The signals squadron worked in groups of two or three called light electronic warfare teams when accompanying infantry patrols in Helmand.

The equipment they used picked up Taliban radio, giving warnings of terrorist activity to the infantry to which they were attached.

After arriving in Helmand, they spent a month in Sangin before moving on to Lasha as part of an operation called Panther's Claw.

Some nights were spent sleeping under a sheet, next to tanks, others were spent in tents. Luckily, the whole squadron came back to the UK unharmed and healthy.

Robert, who is back in Ripley for five weeks, said: "We intercepted the enemy's voice, looking for transmissions and worked closely with the nation's interpreters. The hierarchy tells you where to go and we follow orders, providing front line commanders with information.

"It's a lifesaving job, helping the lads on the ground. Our equipment has got a lot better than it was in previous tours. I have not had any problems."

Now Robert has five weeks' leave, he plans to take his fiancee Emma to London. He will then go back to Wales to continue training and plans to spend another few years in the army.

"It's one of the best things I've ever done and it will be a big part of my life for a while.

"I know something could go wrong, you get used to it when it happens so often," he said.

At the start of October, Robert joined his squadron to take part in a parade in St David's near Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire where they all received the The Operational Service Medal for Afghanistan.

Post Master refuses to send parcel to Afghanistan soldier - UPDATE

You will remember I wrote an article about Post Master Mr Khan in Ely, South Glamorgan, Wales, who refused to send a parcel to one of our soldiers in Afghanistan.

Mrs Davis, the soldier’s mother was also banned from Mr Khan’s post Office.

Many of you wrote to the Post Office to tell of your disgust at the way British people are being treated in their own country and above you will see a typical Post Office response.

Did you expect anything else?

When are people going to wake up to the fact that we are losing our country to invaders backed by those arrogant, self-centred dhimmi’s in charge?

Don’t take things lying down. Protest by email, telephone calls and letters. Let these people know we will not stand by and watch while they infest our lands with traitors to Queen and Country.

CARDIFF SOLDIERS MOTHER IS BANNED FROM ASIAN POST OFFICE

On August 18th 2009, Mrs Davis attempted to send her 21 year old son, who is serving in Afghanistan, a parcel from a Post Office run by a Mr Khan in Ely, South Glamorgan, Wales.

Mrs Davis' son left for Afghanistan at the end of July for a six to eight month tour of duty. He has only been able to call his mother once in the weeks since he left.

When Mrs Davis went to her local Post Ofiice to send her son a parcel she was told she was banned because her son is fighting with the British Army.

What right has this 'man' got to stop a woman sending parcels or letters to her son. He is fighting in a dirty war and may never return.

We must BOYCOTT muslim businesses. DON'T use their shops or taxis.

DO NOT put money into the pockets of the likes of Mr Khan.

UPDATE - TAKEN FROM THE GREEN ARROW

In today’s multi-cultural, politically correct society, Mrs. Davies didn’t know where to turn. The post office and the shop at the end of the road is a vitally important service to the local community and she was bewildered at being made to feel an outcast in her own country by an immigrant who was in a position of having the power to do so.

It was suggested to her ‘off the record’ to contact the BNP as being the only people to offer her support. We won’t tell you just who suggested this as you’d be surprised and it would cause quite a problem where he works, but Mrs. Davies subsequently contacted South Wales BNP with the story of her situation and the film-clip of the interview with Mrs. Davies is shown below.

We tried to contact Mr. Khan to ask for a statement by telephoning him at his post office premises on 029 -20591511, but apparently he is away in India at the moment. We spoke with his manageress though, a June Thomas who is carrying out his instructions in the meantime, but she just said, ‘No comment’.

We don’t know why Mr. Khan should feel he has any authority at all to dictate to British Mothers in this country that they are not allowed to post parcels to British soldiers serving in Afghanistan. Maybe you should ask him for yourself.

Whatever is said about Blair’s illegal warmongering in Iraq and Afghanistan, one thing is for sure, these conflicts involving our British soldiers are different from anything before.

In previous wars, wherever they may have been, at least when our boys returned past the ‘White Cliffs of Dover’ they knew they were home and safe amongst their own people. They could depend on the support of their own people and that the home fires would be kept burning in their absence.

Now of course, in nuLabour’s Britain, in 2009, things are different.

It’s one thing that in Afghanistan the enemy include Taliban fighters with Yorkshire and Midlands accents, even perhaps with the odd Aston Villa tattoo. It’s another thing too, when wounded British casualties arrive back at Selly Oak NHS Hospital (because the military hospitals have been closed down) to be verbally abused by similar people to those that wounded them in the first place. Or when the same type of people blowing our troops to bits with roadside bombs in Afghanistan, can be found at home fast-tracked into positions of authority and power, such as magistrates, politicians, police, teachers and even sub-postmasters. Large tracts of inner-city suburbs and elsewhere have become foreign, alien communities demanding ever more political influence and power within British society.

What on earth have we allowed our country and ourselves to become ?

ISLAMIFICATION OF BRITAIN CONTINUES

Goodbye to my England, So long my old friend
Your days are numbered, being brought to an end
To be Scottish, Irish or Welsh that's fine
But don't say you're English, that's way out of line.
The French and the Germans may call themselves such
As may Norwgians, the Swedes and the Dutch
You can say you are Russian or maybe a Dane
But don't say you're English ever again
At Broadcasting House the word is taboo
In Brussels its Scrapped, in Parliament too
Even schools are affected, staff do as they're told
They must not teach children about England of old
Writers like Shakespeare, Milton and Shaw
The pupils do not learn about them anymore
How about Agincourt, Hastings, Arnhem or Mons
When England lost hosts of her very brave sons
We are not Europeans, how can we be?
Europe is miles away over the sea
We're the English from England, let's all be proud
Stand up and be counted- Shout it out loud
Let's tell our Government and Brussels too
We're proud of our heritage and the red Whitee and blue
Fly the flag of Saint George or the Union Jack
Let the world know - we want OUR ENGLAND BACK !!!!

Flagpole vandalism an insult to our heroes

Article from Wales Online

A ROYAL British Legion flagpole has been felled and its Union Jack flag stolen in what officials fear could be a revenge attack over the war in Afghanistan.

Five hooded vandals waited until the bar steward locked up and left for the night before spending 15 minutes sawing down the 12ft metal pole at the Legion in Rumney, Cardiff.

The plinth beneath the flagpole, which flew the Union flag, reads: “In memory of all those who made the supreme sacrifice for our freedom. We will remember them for evermore. RIP.”

Club secretary Fred Brewis, 65, said: “It’s disgusting. With our troops abroad, these bloody imbeciles decided to hack down our quite substantial flagpole. I’m appalled.”

British legion member Lindsay John, 86, who served in the North Irish Horse Regiment during World War II, said the culprits were “bloody idiots with no respect for the servicemen who made the supreme sacrifice”.

The attack happened at 1.30am on Sunday after the Legion steward secured the property at the top of Rumney Hill for the evening after the bar shut.

CCTV footage from a camera focused on the entrance and flagpole shows five hooded figures surround the pole and lower the Union flag.

The flag is bundled up, thrown on the lawn and kicked aside. It later vanished.

One figure then climbs on the plinth and spends the next 15 minutes toppling the pole with what appears to be a hacksaw.

The vandal can be seen making a sawing motion before he and others flee towards Rumney Hill.

Club officials discovered the damage and a smashed ground- floor window on Sunday morning.

Mr Brewis, from Pentre, Rhondda, said: “They used cutters of some sort, you can see because the break is clean. The fact they came with hoods and spent 15 minutes doing it shows this wasn’t some random act of vandalism.

“It’s absolutely disgusting, particularly in view of what’s going on in Afghanistan.”

Officials believe the attack could be linked to a recent incident when two men visited the Legion asking the flag to be lowered to half mast, apparently in memory of Afghan children killed in the war which started in October 2001. Members refused and the pair went away.

But Mr Brewis, who has been secretary for seven years, believed the refusal could have sparked a revenge attack.

He branded the vandalism “an insult to all our members and all of those who have died”.

He added: “We’ve had vandalism before, but nothing to this extent. This is diabolical.

“They’ve come here and deliberately cut it down. I don’t think there’s any argument, this is some form of political statement.”

Mum-of-three Sarah Watts, whose 29-year-old brother Glen has just returned from fighting in Afghanistan with the 2nd Battalion The Royal Welsh, feared the attack was symbolic. Her other brother Matt, 24, is still serving there.

Sarah, 27, of Llangynwyd, near Maesteg, said: “It’s a terrible insult to all the troops who fight and give their lives for this country.

“These soldiers are doing their jobs and should be recognised and praised. But some people have no respect.”

Susan Evans’ son Corporal Anthony Cotty, 30, serves with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers in Afghanistan.

Susan 54, of Llanrumney, Cardiff said: “I can’t believe this, it’s disgusting, they have no respect.

“These yobs don’t give other people or their families a second thought.

“They’re idiots.”

A Royal British Legion spokeswoman said it was thought to be the first such attack on a Legion club in the UK.

A South Wales Police spokeswoman confirmed an incident of criminal damage was reported at 10.45am on Sunday and said officers were due to attend the club to view CCTV footage.

She appealed for anyone with information to call 029 2022 2211, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

Royal Marines Abused By Protesters

Once again our boys return from duty to be faced with demonstrations. This time it was the turn of 3 Commando of the Royal Marines returning from Afghanistan

As the soldiers marched from Buckingham Palace towards Parliament, they were faced with a handful of idiots waving Iraqi flags screaming ‘genocide’ and ‘not in my name’. When some of the protesters tried using a megaphone, onlookers began clapping and cheering to drown them out

None of the protesters were arrested but one had to be restrained until the parade had entered the House of Commons.
