We Rock The Satellites

I found this video today and thought it would make a nice change from the usual 'heavy' stuff I put on here. In fact I enjoyed it so much that I decided to check the makers out. Here's what i came up with...

The video is part of a series entitled 'It's Cold Up North', this being number 4 in the series. The main characters are Bugsy, Alex, Monkey and Adam with Jonathon as director.

Recently a short piece called 'Save Me 2' won Best Film of North East England at the Saltburn Film Festival. Mark Herman, the British director of Little Voice and The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas attended the award ceremony at Saltburn Community Theatre.

The filming of 'Save me 2' took over a year using a hand-held video camera and when edited, trickery was kept to a minimum. They used the music of local bands as the soundtrack.

The guys and girl, who all reside in Teeside, include surfers and mountain bikers.

"We Rock The Satellites!" is a preview of their latest film, Another year in the life of the boys in Middlesbrough. It contains Mountain Biking, Free Running, The search for the Holy Grail buried under Middlesbrough (Local History Expert), Surfing, Bob Beagrie (Local International Poet, Winner of Biscuit Poetry Prize in 2002 and in 2003 was granted a Time to Write Award), Discovery of the lost railway tunnels of the Middlebrough to whitby coast railway, Almost Haunted (A Night At Whorlton Catle), Back in Time Travel, Massive North East Band "The Mosaics" play "Run" from there last album, and much more.....

Copies of their movies can be obtained from jt24uk@yahoo.com
