UK - MOST VIOLENT COUNTRY IN EUROPE

Great Britain has become the most violent country in Europe. Not only do we have the highest crime rate in Europe, official crime figures show that the UK is worse than the United States and South Africa for all types of crime.

The figures, compiled from reports released by the European Commission and United Nations, also show:

• The UK has the second highest overall crime rate in the EU.
• It has a higher homicide rate than most of our western European neighbours, including France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
• The UK has the fifth highest robbery rate in the EU.
• It has the fourth highest burglary rate and the highest absolute number of burglaries in the EU, with double the number of offences than recorded in Germany and France.

Criminologists use the excuse that different criminal justice systems and the way in which crime is reported and measured is the reason for the high figures.

Police Minister David Hanson’s excuse is that the figures are ‘misleading’ stating:

‘Levels of police recorded crime statistics from different countries are simply not comparable since they are affected by many factors, for example the recording of violent crime in other countries may not include behaviour that we would categorise as violent crime.’

Since Labour’s election win in 1997, recorded violent crime rose to 1.158million.That is more than two a minute. A massive 77% increase. Incidentally, these new figures coincide with the huge rise in immigration.

When are these ‘specialists’ going to realise that mass immigration from third world countries has a massive negative impact on our society?

When is the government going to introduce punishment that fits the crime?

When will they learn that sending youngsters on holiday is not a deterrent?

When will being in prison MEAN punishment?

And, how about bringing back hanging?
